@scottpastry you sir are correct... for the orbit of our solar system around the center of our galaxy; the plane is different... earth breaks the plane every 26,000 years (solar system/earth's cyclical relation to the galactic plane/equinox). I’m Just Asking, Any data from Space Probes, tell us what sort of Galactic Disturbance will our solar system be subjected to.? How wide is the Galactic Plane, and how long will it take the Earth and Sun to Cross this Boundary, And probably most important What effect will it have on the Sun?! AND FOR HOW LONG?? I have heard stories of three days to three years of total darkness, as in not even star light. Sound like a black hole?? A very flat one, one as wide as say our galaxy?? I’m just asking?

@MDProdTV I think what he referred to is the same force that pulls the majority of stars to the galactic plane and causes the milky way to be disc shaped is i.e. force which causes the shape of a spiral galaxy which has not been confirmed. Also, there would be more gravitational force in the galactic plane because so many large bodies reside there.
