My main gate time was 1:24:57. I lost ~1min in the water area slipping off the little pipe before the two chains and later had really hard time with those shadow creatures. Still got the end time of 1:58:15.

How do I know my final time? There isn´t a final save when you beat the game a second time...

@mauricio3d I always did my runs on a new game. There is no point to playing on new game + if you are doing a speed run because there isn't anything in it that makes your time faster.

@phoiv You might be able to but it will be pretty close. My save at the main gate was 1:14:01 and I beat the game at 1:43:48. If you dont get it several times and you find you did your best in that final part. I'd restart the game from scratch and try to get a lower time for that main gate save.

thanks for thr guide, I finished at 1:56:47, with a time of 1:20:02 at main gate. If I did this last stretch better, I could have gotten about 1:54 probably.

I'd say the maximum time you can save at Main Gate is 1:25, maybe 1:26.

Pausing the game is fine-Place Yorda where she is thoughout video. If Yorda was in just the slightest of different spots my results would be negative. There r exceptions tho. You'll learn as you play through. Mostly Yordas local is important when shadow monsters and/or switches r involved-Luck is needed sometimes, always perfect an area b4 moving onto next do practice runs if needed-You should have a no less then 33 min availible at ur last save point-Watermill area is toughest cause of jumps

Completed the game in 2:00:12 but still got the trophy. I heard the trophy noise right after I defeated the Queen so I think it uses the time from there. So I guess you can afford to be a little over the limit.

Hey man! Great guide! At the main gate I was 7 minutes behind you at 1:23 still managed with ease. Btw if your time at the main gate is is past 1:27, you have to start again. 1:27 is deadlin.

Damn. Thx for this. Just got it. The credits count and it takes about 13 min from the time you kill the Queen to the time u find Yorda on the beach so if your main gate save is beyond 1:30.30, u might as well wrap it up and start over

I have a Main Gate time of 1:31:15. I'm guessing that I'm just missing the 2 hour mark because I flew through it, and stabbed the witch with about 6 minutes to go (by my own time keeping). Unfortunately it takes about another 12 minutes from there to get to Yorda. I wasn't sure the time during the credits counted or not, but it seems to count that time. I think I'll need to shave off a few minutes somewhere else :(

@DealRogers Yes you can save at the waterfall start (what i really recommend) and try to do the jump parts in 1 or 2 tries, it's really hard, but at some point you'll make it :] ps: i did the piston jump in my 7th try and the waterwheel on my 3rd try and i still got the trophy :]
