i love how nolan did the sorta 'remakes' of famous tim burtons joke scenes, mainly most noticable is the 'come on..hit me" "come on you grouseome son of a bitch" when batmans charging twords him in both movies, so great.

Both Jokers are great!!! But, I love the old school...I mean the wardrobe was great in the 1989 film, it was very portrayed to the original comic drawings u c in the books. Thats what makes the 1989 film so cool!!!

There were two types of jokers

The original joker was a complete psychotic and was an extreme menus to batman

The other one was what was soon made out to be the very humorous joker that was always a smart but very annoying nemesis to batman

Both Heath ledger and jack Nicholson did the parts in different ways

No matter what their performances were amazing.

The diffrence with Ledger and Jack is tht Jack was a great Joker he was everything people and fans expected for a villan for a comic book film but with Ledger he brought more too the table he brought all kinds of things too the character a voice,A Mind scape the ticks licking his lips and combined alot of acting things too create a character they both r tottaly diffrent

Comparisons betw. the 2 movies shouldn't be made. Diff. times. '89 bridged the gap betw. the cartoonish last Superman movies and the fear that all c-b movies would be like that. It blended adult drama/action/plot w/ just the right amount of wonder/'magic' etc that c-b's offer. W/o it none of the SH movies would've followed. It showed that a c-b movie could bring in non c-b fans. TDK is a far better script etc. no doubt. But what Keaton/Nicholson did was make it possible. Both great films.

Their really are a lot of similarities. Though I read sources that said Nolan was inspired by some of hte old 89 scenes, and other sources where he said he was not at all inspired, and they were coincidences.
