I got an Savage X SS too and an e-maxx. If i compare, the savage is the much better car. I bash the car so hard, i wonder i need so less spare parts. The e-maxx broke every little time. If i could turn back time, i wouldnt buy the e-maxx. I would spend my money in an Savage Flux. I love HPI
I have a savage x 4.6 rtr and tough as it is in some ways its weak as shit in others! I hit the brakes too hard after some wanker beeps at me 4 drivin it on d road and i managed to bend 1 of the silver chassis braces under the engine plate which caused the engine to pivot fwd and in turn bending the gearbox shaft that the spur gear sits on! MGT much tougher!!! i was only going about 20 mph!
@KINGLOUIE323 You must of had a collison or damage done before, no way in rl can that happen to a savage x rtr, its strong, something as measly as that cannot damage it, and MGT is good, but savage is better,

Hpi certianly know how to make a rugged monster truck. You will definatly love your savage, whats also great is that they dont roll like jato's ect. I have had many cars and trucks and my ss is the best. Good luck with it (: 5 strs
Hey all savvy fans....i've jus done a few upgrades and its still solid and roaring like ever.....i jus upgraded my engine to an OS.30, put metal shocks,metal roll bar,metal shock towers, a wheelie bar....dats bout it and he still kicks other off road trucks!!!
so far the savvy has got 5 outta 5 but i know of this thing with retarted traxxes or hpi owners who argue over whats best well if your reading this and your one of them please kindly fuck off ^_^

yeah iv seen a few rb c 28s but never found any specs on them i mite go with a sts d30m or a lrpz28 spec 3 and for the servo a se of bluebird 14kg metal geared and 10kg fast servo.
I've owned several rc's including an 8ight-t race roller turned brushless, mini lst, tmaxx, and more. I now own a savage x ss with a 3 speed otherwise pretty much stock and it has impressed me far more than any other rc has even come close to. You will not be disapointed. I have dropped it on the bumper and lid from 10-15 in the air and broken only a antenna tube. This thing is nearly indestructible and it is extremely easy to tune.

Make sure to go slow, follow the instructions, and use thread lock. Just make sure you use the right color thread lock or you will regret it. If you haven't built an RC before but have owned one and replaced parts here and there go ahead and build it otherwise best to get an rtr.

Better steering and throttle servo. Digital if you can afford it. I use a pair of ridiculously expensive jr z9000's.
