I disagree with the, "let's just be friends" approach if it's a one sided breakup. A lot of men find this condescending. Let the man decide if he wants to be friends or not. Let him at least have some control of the situation. Would you immediately decide to be friends with a guy after he broke up with you if you really liked him? No. Let him have time to recuperate and make that conclusion when he's in a better state of mind.

I disagree with the, "let's just be friends" approach if it's a one sided breakup. A lot of men find this condescending. Let the man decide if he wants to be friends or not. Let him at least have some control of the situation. Would you immediately decide to be friends with a guy after he broke up with you if you really liked him?
