This is pretty accurate. I made the mistake of graduating college and then going enlisted. It was hard as hell knowing that I was more intelligent than my superiors. Dont think i was a shit-bag marine. i made corporal in a little over 2 years, all promotions were meritorious. Always 1st class cft and pft. Lewis, I see soldiers doing yard work, not sure what their MOS is or if its some sort of punishment. I also heard a rumor that the Marines have the lowest re-enlistment rate.

This is pretty accurate. I made the mistake of graduating college and then going enlisted. It was hard as hell knowing that I was more intelligent than my superiors. Dont think i was a shit-bag marine. i made corporal in a little over 2 years, all promotions were meritorious. Always 1st class cft and pft. In short, i got F*cked on medical bills, my CO's responsible for a hmmwv door nearly severing off my foot. Proud as f*ck to be a marine, but totally not what i was told it was going to be like
