@bestcreation004 Because I was miserable when I was there, it wasn't because of the people or anything else that has to do with the country but it was the oppressive heat and the fact I spent the entire time sweating no matter if it was 3:00AM or 3:00PM. I never once had a cool breeze blow past me, it was horrible. But the people made it easier, they were very hospitable and kept me fed and filled with fluids. They didn't want me to stay in town so that's why I was put up on base. It was HOT!

Looks like Northrop gave up the 1970's blueprints for the F-20 Tigershark to Pakistan/China to base the JF-17 on it. It really looks to be about 65% F-5 and 35% F-20. Very confusing why Pakistan would put the time and money into 70's technology when there is so much more out there that far exceeds this fighters capabilities which in the long run would of cost them far less than what they invested in this program!

@bestcreation004 My knowledge and information I know about domestic and foreign aircraft is usually far above and beyond the average person because it's an integral part of my job. I stand by my assessment that the JF-17 is a product of the 70's, the airframe is a mix between the F-16, Mig-21 and F-5. The design of the airframe is a mixed bag of bolt's and in no way will be able to compete in the air dominance role with the likes of the SU-30, Mig-35, Block 52 F-16's or any new gen fighter.

@bestcreation004 Because I was miserable when I was there, it wasn't because of the people or anything else that has to do with the country but it was the oppressive heat and the fact I spent the entire time sweating no matter if it was 3:00AM or 3:00PM. I never once had a cool breeze blow past me, it was horrible. But the people made it easier, they were very hospitable and kept me fed and filled with fluids. They didn't want me to stay in town so that's why I was put up on base. It was HOT!

Looks like Northrop gave up the 1970's blueprints for the F-20 Tigershark to Pakistan/China to base the JF-17 on it. It really looks to be about 65% F-5 and 35% F-20. Very confusing why Pakistan would put the time and money into 70's technology when there is so much more out there that far exceeds this fighters capabilities which in the long run would of cost them far less than what they invested in this program!

@bestcreation004 My knowledge and information I know about domestic and foreign aircraft is usually far above and beyond the average person because it's an integral part of my job. I stand by my assessment that the JF-17 is a product of the 70's, the airframe is a mix between the F-16, Mig-21 and F-5. The design of the airframe is a mixed bag of bolt's and in no way will be able to compete in the air dominance role with the likes of the SU-30, Mig-35, Block 52 F-16's or any new gen fighter.

@jjs4you2 yeah i can understand and i agree u knw far beyond then any average person like me. and sorry to say thunder wasnt meant to compete with mig 35, or block 52, these are 4.5 gen aircrafts , thunder is just 4 gen aircraft and if get western assistance then it will increase its effectiveness. and its basic job is to replace 70s fleet of mirages and f7s , if u see paf isnt fool to replace obsolete technology with another obsolete plane?

I'm sorry to bust all of your all's bubbles but the "Thunder" is no match for any of the United States Air Force's fighters. The fact is that socialists don't make very good airplanes. I thought YouTube was banned in Pakistan anyway? When any of you all can tell me why the JF-17 could beat a US air superiority fighter like the F-15 or F-22 (F-16, 18, and 35 aren't air superiority fighters, they're multi-role) then I might believe you.

JF-17 is not an air superiority fighter,,it is a multi role fighter...and Thunder is definately better than F-16 because Pakistan Air Force will upgrade the fighter to 4.5 generation ,there are reports also that Thunder would be made 5th generation fighter but PAF didn't confirm this report and I personally also don't believe it
