  • @TheLynberger it's all just trial & error =)

  • Hi..im Newbie here, could you show me how to create my channel name looks like your channel name? i mean, make my channel name has an picture in back of it?

  • @SuperBubblegumm123 that's a feature only available to Partners =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Ooouu..could you teach me?

  • @SuperBubblegumm123 there's not really anything to teach - if you meet the requirements you apply & if they accept you, you get the extra features like banners & custom thumbnails =) just search "partner program" in the help files

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Ok..thanks!

  • purple pink white blue would look pretty but love it!

  • I just discovered this technique today and I would like to ask you a few questions. My nails are frustratingly short, is there anything special you do to yours that makes them so long? Do you have problems with them breaking frequently? I would like to do this myself but I don't think it would look very good with my short nails. I know you have a bunch of other comments, so it's no big deal if you don't answer, I just want to let you know that you have beautifully creative nails.

  • @MediasNotFoolingMe I keep my nails moisturized, lots of lotion & cuticle oil & I take a biotin supplement–see my Nail Maintenance vid in the Tips & Trick playlist for my full routine. I do occasionally get a tear or break but you can check out my tutorial on silk wrap patching for how I save those nails =) but you can marble on short nails too - I have one posted on my mom's short nails with some tips

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues can u plz provide the link for the marbling design that u did on ur mom's nails..

  • @FouzulHidhaya you can't post links in comments, but it's in my water marbling playlist =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues i found it.. thank u soo muchh...! :)

  • how many nail polishes you have? (:

  • @DottedC over 1600 bottles =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues WTF REALLY? :O

  • @areeba234 yes =) there are some pics on my blog

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues I can't find it :(

  • @areeba234 in the right sidebar there's a dropdown for my labels - look under the tag "my stash" & I think it's the 2nd post that will show up

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues wow you should do competions with the ones you don't use as prizes

  • @neesharocky1 I never get rid of my polishes - that's part of what makes it a collection =)

  • & can you try a purple & blue marble water design? (:

  • @LabelMeCreative I actually already have one =)

  • How do you upload your own thumbnail for a video, other than choosing from the 3 choices they givve you? :/

  • @LabelMeCreative custom thumbnails are a Partner benefit =)

  • You are awesomely talented...You'd make it really big with your own manicure parlor! Cheers from Singapore.

  • Can you do a green and yellow/gold water marble?? Thanks! =)

  • @milkshake1502 I'll add it to my request list =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Thanks! You have AMAZING and really pretty water marbles!!

  • @kikilove4evr I'll add it to my request list =)

  • This Was Amazing! Can't Wait to try it out!:)

  • wow awesome! i subscribed! you taped it around your nails? =/ sorry i didnt get it

  • @kueebreeze the tape keeps the polish off of your skin =)

  • How long have you been doing this? And btw: i love your poolsdie neon rainbow nails... They are beautiful

  • @HalleRocks6 I've been doing water marbles for a couple of years =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Today i tried rainbow and they worked out perfectly

    Thank you

  • jst outstanding <3

  • What is an orange stick?

  • @xMusicstar98 An orange stick is a wooden manicure tool, basically a long pointy stick like a big toothpick – you can use anything with a fine point =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues

Hey thanks! I saw your FAQ video afterwoods, but I'm from Belgium so I had never heard of it before xD

  • hey,

well i have a problem when i marble it just gives me a think and clunky finsh its like i added 20 coats of nail polish how do i fix that please help!

  • @msdazzleglass I think it sounds like you are using a little too much polish - try using a few less drops. The layer in the water should be very thin =)

  • great work i was wondering how you got your nails so long?

  • @pielover11122 I try to keep my nails moisturized, lots of lotion & cuticle oil & I also take a biotin supplement – you can check out my Nail Maintenance vid in the Tips & Trick playlist for my full routine. I do occasionally get a tear or break but you can check out my tutorial on silk wrap patching for how I save those nails =) I do "Naked Nails" posts on my blog every month or so where I talk more about like all the specific products I'm currently using.

  • can u do one whith the color blue and green

  • @sadeem1999 well, this one is blue & green so did you have specific shades in mind?

  • Hi....beautiful work! Very descriptive directions that are easy to follow. I tried this technique last night for the first time, a bunch of times in a row due to the polish drying and as I try to make the design. The whole polish skin on the h2o comes off right onto my orange stick. I did use old (but healthy) nail polish. And I even did a VERY speedy job not letting the polish sit to dry on the water (your polish sat longer on the water) yet I couldn't even do the 1st line of the design withou

  • @danapacella every polish dries at a different speed & those that dry fast just aren't very good for marbling - if you can't work any quicker then you have to find colors that dry slower =) Also make sure there's not a fan or anything creating a draft on the water as that can make the polish dry faster

  • I love this!!! Ecpessialy cuz I by the beach!!!

  • cool how did she do the nail art work

  • How long does this take to dry? Btw, your stuff is great!

  • @OnlyCherryCoke It’s mostly dry within a few minutes, then I use a quick-drying top coat =)

  • This is like the 7th water marble video I've watched by Colette, and I'm amazed every single time she pulls out her finger.

  • how long did it take for your nails to grow out like that?

  • @stepperz1024 I maintain them long, but they grow about 1mm/week =)

  • You should do Lime Green and Purple

  • @ShySashaAngel I'll add that to my request list =)

  • thatz tew cool i wish i could grow out my nails like yours

  • I love that design! You did a great job and I would love to have that design when I go to the beach and it could really glow when I go underwater in the ocean!

  • Will this work if i do it with

    Pink,blue,green,yellow,orange from ardenes??

  • @TaylorSwiftGal276 I've never heard of that brande, but the only wau to know for any color is to try it =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues okay thankss :) O.P.I does it have neon colours?

  • @TaylorSwiftGal276 they have some very bright colors but I don't think I've ever seen a true neon from them =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Thank you..i bought some fake nails and did the purple blue green marble and its was AWESOME

  • Can u do a combination of the color pink and black plz :)

  • @TheFavoriteLover88 I'll add it to my request list =)

  • nice

  • Teal is my favorite color of all time! Do u have more designs with teal?

  • @CanadianCandySinger I don't think so, but I may eventually do an all-teal in my Addicted to Color series =)

  • Hey!!!!! That's so cool! I'm glad you shared! Where did you learn to do this?

  • @mhmh912 I read about it on several blogs before I started doing it myself =)

  • HOW DO YOU TAPE YOUR FINGERS?????????????(: srry caps lock hehe(:

  • @XxLLalaxX you can check out the taping tutorial under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see how I apply it =)

  • Thanks! :)

  • What type of cup/bowl do you recommend to use??? Love your videos:)!

  • @FlipzGirlz I use a 5 oz disposable paper cup =)

  • nice going 2 try it

  • how do u get it that webby? mine is SOO liquidy

  • @GagasTinyMonster do you mean the polish? That is just the normal consistency =)

  • i love all your videos!

  • Congrats

  • Umm what is the stick called that u use and would a pencil work for it and can u do a video on nail prepping

  • @barrelracingfan1 it's called an orange stick, but you can use anything with a fine point that you don't mind getting polish on =) I have several vids on nail prepping, check out the Tips & Tricks playlist linked in the information box.

  • My prom is coming up and I have a browny beige coloured dress and I was wondering what colours would go well with it?

  • @PaigeTylerStevens well, beige is pretty neutral, I think most colors would look good - do you have any accessories or maybe what color is your coursage?

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Its a kind of blue/teal colour :)

  • @PaigeTylerStevens I think beige & blue would go well together (see the tut I just did on my mom's nails, we did brown & blue & white) - or, skip the beige & just go with a couple of different shades of blue & teal =)

  • is there a nail polish brand that you've found works well? ex) sally hansen or sinful colors?

  • @sharmasisters There really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • Cool nail I try them but my polish doesn't work?? :(

  • @IceWiz101 not all polish works - keep in mind that every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • Hi is there any chance u could do blue silver and black plz? Xxxx

  • @ellisfraser12 I'll add it to my request list =)

  • do u always have to put a white caot on???

  • @arwie19 It doesn't have to be white, but I always recommend some base color, since it helps the colors be more vibrant =)

  • Beautiful (= I'm going to try this as soon as I get a brighter blue

  • im new in this, but is just water? or sth else? (:

    btw, cool videos! (;

  • @vickyflorenzano it's room temperature filtered water =)

  • what are you using as the "orange stick" it looks like a pencil but idk

  • @pinkypie18 An orange stick is a wooden manicure tool, basically a long pointy stick like a big toothpick =) You can use anything with a fine point that you don't mind getting polish on.

  • Can you do a nail polish collection?? I'm just starting out with mine now that I let my nails grow out and I would really like to see yours!! If you could that was be amazing :) thanks so much

  • @Lora0426LW it's on my to-do list to make a stash vid eventually =) There are some pics up on my blog from a little while ago.

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Yay!! Thanks so much :) and I'll check that out.

  • Hi, I don't know if you use Essie brand, but if you could do a combination of

    Aruba Blue (Essie)

    Golden Nuggets (Essie)

Emerald Fitzgerald (China Glaze Vintage Vizen Collection)

...I think those would be really cool together and I would really appreciate it :)

  • @Jello31398 I do use Essie sometimes, but unfortunately I don't have any of those colors - hard to believe with my collection LOL, but there's always more polish to buy =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Thanks for answering, I love your tutorials! Are you using Dixie cups? Also is there a brand that almost always works, because it was difficult for me to find colors that worke :)

  • @Jello31398 mine are just a generic brand paper cup 5oz size =) There really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • do you have to you an orange stick or will any old skewer work??

btw, i LOVE all your creative motives!

  • @soooooHAPPY4u You can use anything with a fine point that you don't mind getting polish on =)

  • Can u do a rainbow one

  • @checkthisout229 I have already done a neon rainbow =) it's on my to-do list to maybe do one with more traditional colors

  • too good....i loved it....................

  • I really love this technique. Your ideas are beautiful.

  • Have you ever tried the lotion trick for water marble? It is just a little question I thought I might ask.

  • @aznANG3LH3ART It's on my to-do list to do a comparison between taping & lotion or vaseline/chapstick, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. A few viewers have told me though that they can leave a residue in the water that makes it harder to do the next designs though, which is why I've stuck with tape so far =)

  • love this! its such an obvious combo of colors and i feel stupid cuz ive never thought of using them b4 for water marbling!

  • i love this look ithink you should try a combo between l.a. colors art deco i think its actually a very good brand but i cant think of a good design for them

  • @candyprincessa11 Hmm, I actually don't have any of either of those brands, but I do try to continue trying different brands/formulas =)

  • ooh can you please do a pink turquoise and purple spiral?

  • @allyb0webkinz I'll add it to my request list =)

  • i would like to see a tutorial on an elegant new years eve water marble. maybe with black and silver or black and gold or any elegant colors that u can think of. thanx. i really enjoy watching ur tutorials on water marbling. i never seen anything like it before.

  • @Mizzchalai22 I do have a couple of new year's looks on my to-do list =) And I have actually already done a black & silver design, although I may do another with those colors.

  • thank you so much!! you are so amazing and such an inspiration.

  • U are so awsome!!!

  • How do u get ur nails so long?

  • @99i99i I try to keep my nails moisturized, lots of lotion & cuticle oil & I also take a biotin supplement – you can check out my Nail Maintenance vid for my full routine. I do occasionally get a tear or break but you can check out my tutorial on silk wrap patching for how I save those nails =) I do "Naked Nails" posts on my blog every month or so where I talk more about like all the specific products I'm currently using.

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos!!!!

how about a hot pink and yellow marble?

  • @ThickHairDontCare I'll add that combination to my request list =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues yay! you're awesome! i'm going to try to create this

  • I'd love to see a purple and blue color combination...like the purple and blue you see on wild berry flavor poptarts. :) i have that color combo on my nails right now and it looks really nice ^^

  • @ximachikenx I'll add that combo to my request list - might have to check out the pop tart box to see what kind of purple & blue that is =)

  • does this still work on short nails?

  • @stephstar99 yes - if you have shorter nails you just get less of the design =)

  • Wow I never knew you could spiral nail polish using water! I gotta try this1

  • SOO COOOL!!!

  • @jjonesphoto82705 or when u watch a vid of urs( on ur channel) u should see a button that says, "edit your videos" or in the settings idk

  • @jjonesphoto82705 it's YouTube( . ) com /editor

  • very creative:)

I was wondering...can I do water marble on gel nails and then put on gloss gel?

  • @matmica I don't really have any experience with gel nails, but it should work =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues thx..i would try it:)

  • tthiisss iss sooo sicck!

imma try it riighhtt now ! <3

  • How do you put pictures in your videos? I can't seem to find it in the video editor on YouTube. Thanks!

  • @jjonesphoto82705 I don't use the YT editor - I put everything together in Windows Movie Maker =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Thanks so much sweetie, I will be looking for some kool software! ;)

  • @jjonesphoto82705 Movie Maker actually comes with most versions of Windows, or I think you can DL Windows Live Movie Maker for free from their website =)

  • LOVE it! I'm so glad I found you! I've tried doing the marbling and after about 6 times, I think I've got the hang of it. I can't wait to try this one. I was curious though, how do you avoid air bubbles on the nails? That's my #1 problem now.

Thank you for doing all these. Congrats on the anniversary! And thank you for making me a nail polish hero to my 10 yr old daughter!

  • @mythicalmommy Oops... saw the comment about the bubbles. Thanks!

  • I've been having trouble with my nailpolishes drying before I can get the whole bulseye made. I'll only have 3 or 4 layers, and when I go to drag my toothpick through, they all clump on theneach color ends up meeting the new water, and it explodes into really watery colors. And do you have any tips on how to keep it from lumping onto my nail? Some will be smooth, but some of them will have huge, irregular lups over the nail. Thank you so much for really getting me into the marbling!

  • @goshikkuhanachan all polish dries at different speeds, you want one that dries very slow - that may be part of the problem with the clumping too - if you can see it clump in the cup, as you draw the design, you can kind of pull them out carefully with the orange stick =)

  • I keep getting bubbles every time I try to water marble my nails. Do you have any tips on how to avoid these? :(

  • @kneeXkohl My 3 main tips to prevent bubbles would be: make sure there are none in the polish before you dip you nail (you can pop those), dip in & out slowly, and make sure to get rid of any water drops on your nail - if they won't drip off, you can use the corner of a paper towel to absorb them. HTH =)

  • I missed this one somehow. I love it... Love the swirl one. You are like the watermarbling queen on here

  • so pretty!

  • love this color combo. Happy YT Anniversity!!!!!

  • Ment<3

  • U helped me out a lot :) 34

  • Turnd out relly good the design and the color thanks

  • Hey I used everything u did ecsept the colors and it turnsd

  • how do you put the duck tape on everytime i do it, it screws up and when i take it off it ruins the nail polish ? help ?

  • @rockinthebeats666 check out my taping tutorial in the playlist linked in the information box =)

  • hi, can u help me to tell how to work on bubble after u dip and pull ur nail? i dipped it in, only to found out many bubbles in my nail surface... can u help me how to prevent it? thank so much..

  • @yurichan246 My 3 main tips to prevent bubbles would be: make sure there are none in the polish before you dip you nail (you can pop those), dip in & out slowly, and make sure to get rid of any water drops on your nail - if they won't drip off, you can use the corner of a paper towel to absorb them. HTH =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues hmm okay i will try those! thank you so much! :D

    Xx

  • Very Very Pretty!!! Thanks for the tut!!!!!

  • Happy Youtubeversary! ^_^ Trust me, I'll keep watching :)

  • You do a good job on your nails.

    I have been practicing :D

Keep up the good work :D

  • Is there any way to stop your nails from bending once they reach a certain length

  • @AnaStudent not that I've found - if you nails naturally curve under or bend to the side as they grow, that's just the way they are =)

  • is white the best base color?

  • @chickenlikingood it really depends on what look you are going for - I always do some testing before I do
