Hi..im Newbie here, could you show me how to create my channel name looks like your channel name? i mean, make my channel name has an picture in back of it?
@SuperBubblegumm123 there's not really anything to teach - if you meet the requirements you apply & if they accept you, you get the extra features like banners & custom thumbnails =) just search "partner program" in the help files
I just discovered this technique today and I would like to ask you a few questions. My nails are frustratingly short, is there anything special you do to yours that makes them so long? Do you have problems with them breaking frequently? I would like to do this myself but I don't think it would look very good with my short nails. I know you have a bunch of other comments, so it's no big deal if you don't answer, I just want to let you know that you have beautifully creative nails.
@MediasNotFoolingMe I keep my nails moisturized, lots of lotion & cuticle oil & I take a biotin supplement–see my Nail Maintenance vid in the Tips & Trick playlist for my full routine. I do occasionally get a tear or break but you can check out my tutorial on silk wrap patching for how I save those nails =) but you can marble on short nails too - I have one posted on my mom's short nails with some tips
@xMusicstar98 An orange stick is a wooden manicure tool, basically a long pointy stick like a big toothpick – you can use anything with a fine point =)
@msdazzleglass I think it sounds like you are using a little too much polish - try using a few less drops. The layer in the water should be very thin =)
@pielover11122 I try to keep my nails moisturized, lots of lotion & cuticle oil & I also take a biotin supplement – you can check out my Nail Maintenance vid in the Tips & Trick playlist for my full routine. I do occasionally get a tear or break but you can check out my tutorial on silk wrap patching for how I save those nails =) I do "Naked Nails" posts on my blog every month or so where I talk more about like all the specific products I'm currently using.
Hi....beautiful work! Very descriptive directions that are easy to follow. I tried this technique last night for the first time, a bunch of times in a row due to the polish drying and as I try to make the design. The whole polish skin on the h2o comes off right onto my orange stick. I did use old (but healthy) nail polish. And I even did a VERY speedy job not letting the polish sit to dry on the water (your polish sat longer on the water) yet I couldn't even do the 1st line of the design withou
@danapacella every polish dries at a different speed & those that dry fast just aren't very good for marbling - if you can't work any quicker then you have to find colors that dry slower =) Also make sure there's not a fan or anything creating a draft on the water as that can make the polish dry faster
I love that design! You did a great job and I would love to have that design when I go to the beach and it could really glow when I go underwater in the ocean!
@barrelracingfan1 it's called an orange stick, but you can use anything with a fine point that you don't mind getting polish on =) I have several vids on nail prepping, check out the Tips & Tricks playlist linked in the information box.
@PaigeTylerStevens well, beige is pretty neutral, I think most colors would look good - do you have any accessories or maybe what color is your coursage?
@PaigeTylerStevens I think beige & blue would go well together (see the tut I just did on my mom's nails, we did brown & blue & white) - or, skip the beige & just go with a couple of different shades of blue & teal =)
@sharmasisters There really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)
@IceWiz101 not all polish works - keep in mind that every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)
@pinkypie18 An orange stick is a wooden manicure tool, basically a long pointy stick like a big toothpick =) You can use anything with a fine point that you don't mind getting polish on.
Can you do a nail polish collection?? I'm just starting out with mine now that I let my nails grow out and I would really like to see yours!! If you could that was be amazing :) thanks so much
@Jello31398 I do use Essie sometimes, but unfortunately I don't have any of those colors - hard to believe with my collection LOL, but there's always more polish to buy =)
@SimpleLittlePleasues Thanks for answering, I love your tutorials! Are you using Dixie cups? Also is there a brand that almost always works, because it was difficult for me to find colors that worke :)
@Jello31398 mine are just a generic brand paper cup 5oz size =) There really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)
@aznANG3LH3ART It's on my to-do list to do a comparison between taping & lotion or vaseline/chapstick, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. A few viewers have told me though that they can leave a residue in the water that makes it harder to do the next designs though, which is why I've stuck with tape so far =)
i love this look ithink you should try a combo between l.a. colors art deco i think its actually a very good brand but i cant think of a good design for them
i would like to see a tutorial on an elegant new years eve water marble. maybe with black and silver or black and gold or any elegant colors that u can think of. thanx. i really enjoy watching ur tutorials on water marbling. i never seen anything like it before.
@Mizzchalai22 I do have a couple of new year's looks on my to-do list =) And I have actually already done a black & silver design, although I may do another with those colors.
@99i99i I try to keep my nails moisturized, lots of lotion & cuticle oil & I also take a biotin supplement – you can check out my Nail Maintenance vid for my full routine. I'd love to see a purple and blue color combination...like the purple and blue you see on wild berry flavor poptarts. :) i have that color combo on my nails right now and it looks really nice ^^
@jjonesphoto82705 Movie Maker actually comes with most versions of Windows, or I think you can DL Windows Live Movie Maker for free from their website =)
LOVE it! I'm so glad I found you! I've tried doing the marbling and after about 6 times, I think I've got the hang of it. I can't wait to try this one. I was curious though, how do you avoid air bubbles on the nails? That's my #1 problem now.
Thank you for doing all these. Congrats on the anniversary! And thank you for making me a nail polish hero to my 10 yr old daughter!
I've been having trouble with my nailpolishes drying before I can get the whole bulseye made. I'll only have 3 or 4 layers, and when I go to drag my toothpick through, they all clump on theneach color ends up meeting the new water, and it explodes into really watery colors. And do you have any tips on how to keep it from lumping onto my nail? Some will be smooth, but some of them will have huge, irregular lups over the nail. Thank you so much for really getting me into the marbling!
@goshikkuhanachan all polish dries at different speeds, you want one that dries very slow - that may be part of the problem with the clumping too - if you can see it clump in the cup, as you draw the design, you can kind of pull them out carefully with the orange stick =)
@kneeXkohl My 3 main tips to prevent bubbles would be: make sure there are none in the polish before you dip you nail (you can pop those), dip in & out slowly, and make sure to get rid of any water drops on your nail - if they won't drip off, you can use the corner of a paper towel to absorb them. HTH =)
hi, can u help me to tell how to work on bubble after u dip and pull ur nail? i dipped it in, only to found out many bubbles in my nail surface... can u help me how to prevent it? thank so much..
@yurichan246 My 3 main tips to prevent bubbles would be: make sure there are none in the polish before you dip you nail (you can pop those), dip in & out slowly, and make sure to get rid of any water drops on your nail - if they won't drip off, you can use the corner of a paper towel to absorb them.

I keep getting bubbles every time I try to water marble my nails. Do you have any tips on how to avoid these? :(

HTH =)

Is there any way to stop your nails from bending once they reach a certain length
AnaStudent 1 year ago
@AnaStudent not that I've found - if you nails naturally curve under or bend to the side as they grow, that's just the way they are =)

is white the best base color?

@chickenlikingood it really depends on what look you are going for - I always do some testing before I do
