  • Who wants to live in an apartment? Not me.

  • Hi, umm i have a question. Which Dakota apratments did John actualy live in? i mean i know they had more then 1, but what were there room numbers? also is Johns room visible from most pics of the Dakota? if so which one?

Also do you like Yoko? i keep swithiching from liking her one day to hating her the next. i mean...she made John happy, but she was cheating on him in 1980, with that guy...and made Julian buy back all that stuff... and i dont know...she seemed like she was using him.

  • @tobyMacAttack

I do not care for her. The description answers the rest of your questions.

  • @NeilFraudstrong Oh ok thanks :)

If John was still alive do you think he wouldve still been with Yoko?

  • @tobyMacAttack

Not a chance. Not even the smallest bit of a chance.

Also, thanks for taking my comment with gentle good humor. After I wrote it, I felt bad because I felt like it appeared I was going off on you like I do on the people on my last interview series who don't read the descriptions. But I'm glad you didn't take it as me being snarky or rude or anything because it was not my intention.

  • @tobyMacAttack

I guess they assume that if he had stayed with Cynthia in England then Mark David Chapman would have never been able to assassinate him which I don't think is entirely true.

  • @tobyMacAttack 7+2=...John's lucky number...

  • @tobyMacAttack

What do you think John was doing for almost a year in L.A. with May Pang playing shuffleboard?

She was JOHN'S choice not for anyone else to like or dislike...

  • Oh God,please grant me this apartment!

  • Im not sick or anything, its just morbid curiosity,id like to know what the lobby looks like where he fell.Anyone know where you can find pictures og that?

  • This is very nice. It is lovely: with the 19th cent. wood fixtures. I wonder if these two modernists painted them over or had some removed. It would be a shame, from my pov, since the wood gives a real historical feel and is tasteful.

  • 0:49 isnt that the dakota outside the window? lol

  • @nightcrawler511

The Dakota is centered around a courtyard so views of The Dakota building are possible from within The Dakota itself. The layout is usually like this:

    Kitchen/other bedrooms face the courtyard

Master bedroom, living room, dining room, and library face the park.

  • Neil, Thanks so much for posting this. I think Jean Stapleton aka Edith Bunker lives in this building as well.

  • @NeilFraudstrong - thank you for giving me a glimpse into one of the most famous addresses...I went to new york in february 2O1O and I was only adamant about seeing the dakota...it was as impressive as I'd hoped, but the interior was still a mystery...

now, except for the hideously boring, workplace halogen ceiling lights, the kitchen at 1:2O - 1:4O is absolutely beautiful...

  • @b017ni3

I love comments like this. I made this video after getting a lot of requests from people who were dying to see what The Dakota looked like inside. I am glad I could help you out.

  • "Yes, this place has a wonderful history. in 1968 a movie about the birth of the anti-christ was filmed here...the director's pregnant wife was subsequently murdered by Charles Manson, in 1980, a famous singer was shot to death outside, and in 1981, the caretaker, Mr. Grady, his wife and twin daughters, were trapped inside during one of New York's coledest winters. He axed them all to death,"

  • @DrivingonSepulveda2 That could be the inspiration for a movie. :)

  • @DrivingonSepulveda2 u talking about rosemary's baby movie directeed by roman polanski ? my fav director...

i would be afraid of living in that house maybe spirit of john lennon would visit me at nights :D

  • Thanks for posting. I'm sure there's a lot of people out there who've always wondered what his home looked like. At least this gives us some idea. Thanks for posting!

  • @WilldoggDepp

Thanks! That was my whole intention with the video. There are very few pictures of John's apartment(s), but this provides a general idea of what it looks like inside The Dakota. People think i just put together any pictures I could find of random apartments and I am sitting here like, "Why would I make this up?"

  • @NeilFraudstrong I study the Beatles like crazy, and spend a lot of time researching them. I've seen interviews with Yoko at her home and the pics resemble what the Dakota look like. Also, the VH-1 movie, "Tow of Us', what directed by Lindsay-Hogg, who also directed their "Let It Be' sessions. I'm sure his take on Lennon's apartment is pretty close. I've been there twice, although not inside, nonetheless, I love the video. One could only 'imagine' what it's like inside.

  • @maccalex True.My Barbie's on the ph. right now booking an appt to look at the apt.where they shot Rosemarys baby & apt 76 that just went up for sale which would be 4 apts down from Johns apt..Skippers feeling kinda nervous about it tho,so Ken is trying to calm her down, then he's gonna go outside & warm up the engine in Barbies pink corvette.I must admit that it is 1 step up from barbies Townhouse! Ya'll better get ta steppin.Barbies vette is pretty damned fast! Well look who it is 51 secs ago!

  • @NeilFraudstrong Well if it happens 500 times a day, then why cant you let my opinion go Mr.FRAUD strong? Smokinmo refers to a knock-out.I dont smoke, but I've got 1 helluva punch! & I seriously doubt that 7 or 8 apts were up for sale when you took these pics.As for your crediblity...Who gives a shit? Move it on to # 499.

  • i dont get how ppl with so much money have such terrible decorating skills

  • how much did john lennon pay to buy this house?

  • @slapshot68

I am not exactly sure of the exact figure and prices have swelled significantly, but Yoko's apartment (#72) would be worth in excess of 10 million now. She also sold off one of their former apartments that they used for storage some time in the early 90s for about 890,000 dollars. John and Yoko initially leased apartment 72 from the actor Robert Ryan and they later purchased it after his death so they probably got it for a discounted sum (relatively speaking).

  • All you need is loot... loot...loot is all you need.

  • wowwwwwwwwww!!!!!incredible

  • if i were rich, the dakota would be the first choice for a home for me.

  • It looks like some real pics are mixed in with fake pics.I think the furniture looks really cheap for that (Dollhouse) reason. You would think the ppl that live there would have valuable furnishings. This looks worse than dollar store furniture. The walls look plastic. To answer your 2nd question about why you would upload phony pics.To get attention & hits.Im not saying it's true. Some just look like they were taken in a dollhouse. My opinion.Takeing pics inside the dakota I heard isnt allowed at all

  • @SmokinMo11 I know video/movies are not allowed. Maybe pics are for real estate?

  • @maccalex

All of the pictures in the video were from apartments that had gone up for sale recently. The one with the blue dining room was apartment 76 which would be 4 down from John's apartment.

  • Look at them again...Seriously.Most of these pictures look like they were taken from the inside of a girls doll-house.Did no one notice this but me? LOL Im serious.Who is this guy? ha ha! Very few of these pics look like real rooms.Just what it looks like to me & I had my fair share of doll houses growing up as a girl. They look like my doll house furnishings...lol & my brother builds better sets than this for movies.ha ha! If they're real, most look pretty unreal!

  • @SmokinMo11

How do they look fake and, more importantly, why would I waste time by uploading fake pictures of The Dakota?

  • @NeilFraudstrong Maybe SmokinMo has been smoking too much

  • @Davewakeham

Nah, they're just the latest in a long line of users who try to challenge my credibility when they have no idea what they are talking about. It happens 500 times a day.

  • @SmokinMo11 No-one noticed but you because these interiors looking NOTHING like dollhouses.

  • Any terraces or roof gardens? I would expect that for a top city apartment. Looks like a moderately posh Swiss rental with bad plumbing to me. Some of the decor is a little off taste, the plumbing is hilariously old and bad, but the owners have some really stunning Art Déco pieces.

  • @malaidoskop

No, there are no roof gardens, but there are Juliet balconies found throughout. The Dakota had many great amenities in its heyday. They had grass tennis courts, stables (which was located where the parking garage for residents is now), playrooms for the children, and various recreational facilities. Later, as New York City expanded, these were either turned into new apartments or sold off to maintain upkeep for the building.

  • the furniture is of a very poor quality but the apartment iself is gorgeous.

  • I am not impressed with this at all.

  • John is sleeping in death as all will sooner or later end up sleeping but the spirit

goes on to heaven or hell.

  • It's funny this is EXACTLY how i pictured it, even though i've never seen it in my life

  • "When Mr. Ford brought Mr. Tamang to New York, they moved into the Dakota—into a studio apartment on the 10th floor owned by Ruth Ford. The apartment was built under the eaves of the roof and had once been a maid's room, albeit one with a park view."

I assume all studios have been converted from areas of original apartments.

  • Thanks for sharing this! "Time and Again" has always left me wondering about what the inside looks like.

  • THANK YOU from Germany... your whole channel is great! I have been to NYC last year and, of course, to the Dakota, too. Great memories are coming back. It's an impressive building!

  • Whats the cookie monster doing there at 4:12?

  • Thank you very much.

  • I saw a documentary on Yoko in about 1984, which had stuff filmed from inside the Dakota. I remember the John & Sean painting on the wall (which I've never seen a decent photo of, have you?)

  • @oo1ooo1oo

Just saw this comment and yes I have. I can send you a clear image of it if you wish.

  • haha ... two things:

    (1) holy crap ... you'd think rich people would have better taste when it comes to their decor ... yikes!

    (2) your "pricing" is totally incorrect ... first of all, the dakota does not have studios ... haha ... and you can get a 3 bedroom for around 5.8 - 7.6 million (still a lot!)

  • @brymarc

My pricing is not incorrect at all and as a matter of fact they DO have studio apartments because John and Yoko's office was called Studio One, a studio apartment on the second floor of The Dakota. I got these images myself and I saw the pricing myself.

  • @NeilFraudstrong i'm not going to sit here and argue with you ... at the end of the day you can "believe" what you want ... but as a matter of "fact" the dakota does NOT have studio apartments ... and your pricing IS incorrect :)

  • @brymarc GODDAMN YOU ARE DUMB. JOHN LENIN IS DEAD YOU FUCKING IDIOT MORON GO KILL YOURSELF

  • @foilseal you clearly don't have a "full grasp" of the english language ... i forgive you!

  • @brymarc i won a sailboats on the price is right gameshow. clearly you are the baboon.

  • @foilseal you won "a saliboatS" ... hahahaha ... yeah ... clearly, "i am" the baboon ... ummm hmmm ;)

  • @brymarc what did you win? nothing. you are a loser. this was based on the first movie, not the book. take your nazi propaganda and shove it up your mother's giant red baboon ass.

  • @foilseal are you high or just retarded? i think the latter? what the eff are you talking about?! actually, you're comments are so, um, "special" i'd could care less what you are talking about. go find some corner and die. i'm sure you won't be missed.

  • @brymarc Nobody is talking to you retard. Typing is not talking. Even though you are a faggot (literally), hurting your faggot feelings enough for you to wish me dead is a bonus.

  • @brymarc

If you could care less then why don't you start right now and stop spamming this video with useless comments.

  • What a beautiful picture of the city that John absolutely loved and wanted to live in and share with his family. I can only imagine the walks John took with Sean and how happy it made them both feel.

  • To be honest I don't care for most of the interior decorating shown here. The building itself is quite overbearing outside and inside.

  • If there's one real life historical building i would compare The Overlook Hotel from "The Shining" to, its The Dakota. Alot of "ghosts" in that building.

  • Very nice..........Anyone know how much apartments go for in the Dakota?

I presume they are in the millions of dollars.

  • @starryian007 Read Neil's text, he included that.

  • @spinalcrackerbox

Thank you for reading the description. :)

Also, I will agree with you about The Dakota. I think some of the apartments are beautiful and the building itself is majestic, but I would never want to live there for a variety of reasons. It's not like people actually want to live in The Dakota, but they want to live there as a status symbol. It's very posh to have 1 W. 72nd Street as your address in New York society, but I would rather live in a more modern building.

  • @spinalcrackerbox

I always include everything in detail in my video descriptions, but for every person that reads the description there are like 500 who don't.

  • how'd you get these pics? do u live here? i visited for the first time this summer, it was beautiful!

  • @h20justaddmikey

I just troll real estate listings because I like real estate anyway and because I am always curious about listings at The Dakota.

  • @NeilFraudstrong yes, Key word is troll.

  • @h20justaddmikey that's nice. it's so awesome I can't deal. You see Yoko ? Lol

  • Lennon's place was totally redone in 1975.

  • I can only imagine (no pun intended) the price tag on that sweet little dwelling.

  • omg this is fabulous..I love stuff like this..

..3 places i want to visit one day whenever i get to NYC..The Dakota...The Asonia..and The Chelsea Hotel...was there ever a house of some sort, or huge apartment ontop of The Chelsea?

  • How wonderfully beautiful...My dream is to one day live in the Dakota.

That will never happen so, thanks for showing me around.

    Breathtaking.

  • is there at least one apartment whose owner has preserved old world details? Or have they all been gutted and renovated just like Manhattan? It seems slowing and methodically the city is losing what draws me there. Out with the old and in with the new. Its shameful.

  • @murmurmouth

There are quite a few apartments that are as they were in 1884, but a lot have been remodeled. The Dakota used to contain staff quarters and recreational facilities on the property in its early history and these were later replaced and made into apartments. The Dakota originally had 65 apartments, but now I would estimate they have at least 80, perhaps a few less. One of John's apartments, his main one, was #72. He also owned #71 across the hall and three other apartments.

  • @murmurmouth "Rosemary's Baby" was filmed inside the Dakota, you can see what it looked like in the 60's from that movie.

  • @lhcarter

Rosemary's Baby was only filmed from the exterior. The interior was filmed on a soundstage because The Dakota does not allow filming inside the building for commercial purposes.

  • @NeilFraudstrong thank you, I did wonder about the inside shots! In his book Ira Levin mentioned the Dakota , but he didnt situate his the story there.

  • awesome...I have some of these photos too...I would love to see the bedroom and bathrooms from Jackie O's apartment at 1040...

  • I was in the Coast Guard stationed at Governors Island. While there, I went by The Dakota frequently. That is a real elegant work of art. I get back to NYC now and then and would LOVE to get inside and see how that place is layed out. Anyone living there is indeed a very lucky person.

  • Read Fred Seaman's book ~ and 1:20 kitchen looks almost exactly like it did in my imagination! (I hope I am not crossing any lines for having such a good imagination.)

  • @juliannisaakfan

    watch?v=cPNyWfXWi_k

Paste that in your address bar. That's a photo of John and Julian in his kitchen.

  • @juliannisaakfan

Just re-read your comment and considered deleting it because you had an original thought. in order to appear as a man of the people, I decided to let this one slip.

  • Give it a rest Fraudstrong ?

You have NO idea what events have transpired there.

End of discussion. Got it ?

  • Not so ridiculous to people who live there.

    BTW nice language..shows your intelligence.

  • @gstny101

Nice language? What, are you offended by the word Christ now?

Get over yourself. Why don't you do something really bold and daring like jumping in front of a wrecking ball.

  • Neil, thats a great insightful video, 5 stars! Its a shame assholes like gstny101 have no brain or taste! I notice the retarded idiot has closed is account now, probably so embarrased by his stupidity.

  • @coltsuperocean10

He has been harassing me with over 4 accounts. He also had this to say on several other channels of my subscribers:

    gstny101 (1 week ago)

NeilFraudstrong is a blatant LIAR and a troublemaker. I never have had 2 accts. Messaged him once and then blocked him. I am the one who reported him. If he is your friend then my condolences. He's bad news.

I have always thought I was an easygoing and amiable guy. Maybe I really am a gigantic jerkoff.

  • @coltsuperocean10

I should also add that it was ME who reported him to YouTube. It was not just harassing comments, but harassing messages as well from several accounts. He claims to have reported me as well, but all I have to say on that is which account is closed? Not mine, that's for sure.

  • @gstny101

And furthermore, the only bad event in the entire history of The Dakota was John's murder. THAT'S IT. IT IS A SECURE PLACE.

It also mentions in EVERY single authorized AND unauthorized biography of John's life that he lived in apartment 72. This is not a state secret. It's common knowledge.

  • I would like to know who the hell allowed this video ??

  • @gstny101

What do you mean who allowed it?

  • @NeilFraudstrong

People here like their privacy..security is tight thank God.

  • @gstny101

This is not an invasion of privacy. I said in the description that these are only apartments which have gone up for sale. If showcasing these is an invasion of privacy then all new home guides should be banned from being printed.

  • @NeilFraudstrong

You also gave out apt #'s. Not a nice thing to do. End of subject.

  • @gstny101

For the love of Christ, let it go. It is not a big deal. Please take your ridiculous morals elsewhere.

  • gstny101, I live in the Dakota, I think you are thinking of another building. Retards like you are too stupid to live in a building.

  • @coltsuperocean10

I think he meant the Dakota territory because he doesn't have enough class to live in The Dakota.

  • @NeilF, he doesn`t seem to have class, period! Good video.

  • oh man..can i come stay for a night??.lol..i;m a chef and will cook you & guests a great brunch or something..(just thought i'd ask..love NYC...:-)

  • @coltsuperocean10 Do you really live there? What a dream place to live...so jealous!!

  • CUNT

  • I saw someone leave a comment on this and they deleted it, but the gables at the top are not studio apartments. They are maid/servant quarters. There are small circular staircases which go up into the room which is a loft like area containing enough room for a bed, dresser, and a few other things. The studio apartments are spread all over the building, but they are mostly found on the lower floors.

  • What is the Name of the Songe?

It s a dream to live there

My favorite fiction person live there.

Ph. D. Special Agent Aloysius X.L. Pendergast.

I like the blue rooms at 2:40 and 3:10 most.

  • @BillShmithback The name of the song is "I'm Only Sleeping". It's from the Revolver album.

  • @BillShmithback

I agree. It's very very very classy and not as horribly designed as the others. I was a particularly big fan of the dining room.

  • @NeilFraudstrong

And i love the rooms at 3:20 and 3:26 (because I like Books)

But In think the dining room is a little bit overcolord. It is a bit shocking when you see it first. Maybe it looks better in real. And I don't like the ceeling very much. But it is way better than the boring ones at the beginning. For example the room at 1:04 looks a bit like the one in my grandmothers House.

    (I live in Germany)

  • I would love to live there someday, but I don't I am going to have 22.5 million dollars handy by then. So it is just a silly little dream.

  • You could always buy a studio apartment, but that's like the ghetto of The Dakota. Other residents would scoff at you.

Studio One is a studio apartment. It's only four rooms.

I have no idea why I just mentioned Studio One.

  • Sorry, I hadn't noticed.

  • Are all of these photos of Lennon's apartment? Nice place, he had better taste than I had expected but no curtains anywhere I noticed! The Dakota is, in itself, a work of art. RIP John - still being missed after all these years.

  • The first paragraph states in all caps and in full view without having to click "more info" that these are not the apartments that John and Yoko lived in.

  • 50cent963, John and Yoko had and still have 4 apartments in the Dakota. Yoko still has the main residence on the 8th floor, plus they had 1 for Sean, another apartment was used as an office and now storage, and the 4th apartment was used purely for storage. Nice if you have the money!! The main apartment is very nice though!...and huge! The kitchen overlooks the inner courtyard.

  • They (and Yoko continues to own) owned five apartments. Their apartment is also on the 7th floor, not the 8th.

  • Neil, Id love to have a tour of this building. So much history!!

  • Interesting, I read somewhere that when Lennon sord of retired from music for five years to raise Sean, that he hardly got out much. He would just stay home inside the Dakota. Yet, he managed to keep in shape because walking from his bedroom, to his kitchen was was like walking a whole city block! Can you say Big Money, must have been nice. This buliding and all it's history just abdolutely fasinates me!

  • Are there any interior shots of The Lennon's apartment..? Obviously in the Annie Liebowiz portrait , you can see a little bit of the white sofa and carpet, but not much more.

  • I have a few, but not very many. I will PM you the ones I have.

  • Now that's what I call a nice pad.

  • Hey, That's my apartment at the beginning!!

  • Mate, how do you feel to live in a appartment where John Lennon Lived.

  • He even signed an autograph for that piece of shit......John Lennon will be missed........

    Chapman rot in hell

  • another famous baby next to rosemarys baby is "sean lennon". lennon met mia farrow in india while the beatles were on holiday in india. lennon was shot in the exact bloody spot as the girl in the movie died. yoko is a self proclaimed witch. john was murderd on rout to see the baby.

  • The apartments are gorgeous and spacious too. I like the fireplaces and the woodwork.

  • That's one reason I love The Dakota as a work of art. A lot of fans actually have no idea about its history. All they know is that John lived (and died) there and that's it, but it has a great history all its own. The ceilings average 14 feet high (normal ceilings are approximately 8 feet high) and every apartment has a different layout. No two apartments are the same (again, a very unique detail). All of the doors are solid wood and the fireplaces were all carved by master craftsmen.

  • is this for sale

  • Some of these have been sold already while others have not. These are just pictures I have collected from various real estate agencies over the years.

  • We're watching Rosemary's Baby right now and that is what brought me to this video. I wanted to see what the inside of the Dakota looked like for real since the interiors in the film were built on a sound stage because filming inside the Dakota is forbidden.

  • my dads old boss used 2 live there

  • It looks small. Nice apartment.

  • Apartments in The Dakota range from simple 4 bedroom apartments and studio apartments to apartments that are over 6,000 square feet.

  • Note:

That was supposed to be simple four ROOM apartments. A "simple four bedroom" in The Dakota will cost some serious change!

  • What a fantastic idea to take interior pictures of this interesting building and make a slide show.Well done Chris, thanks! :-)

  • I have been in the lobby while I was staying in NYC, While I was staying in NYC I couldn't get a taxi back to where I was staying, the guard sent me to the phone in the underground across the road first but it was out of order, so the guard let me in to use the phone in the lobby!!As I am from the U.K, I got to walk through the Dakota tunnel, up the infamous steps and into the small lobby, amazing moment which I'll never forget

  • That's fascinating BigPaul. Why is this comment marked as spam?

I've always wondered if the stairs on the inside cover of the Dakota disc of the Lennon Anthology were those infamous steps. Anyone know?

  • I'll check later for you, as I sneaked a camera in as well!!

  • I'm always interested in pictures of the Dakota. I've always wanted to see the infamous lobby. I'm not morbid, I just like perspective, if you know what I mean. The only picture I've ever seen of the lobby is a police photo, and to say that it's not pretty is an understatement.

  • I think it's hilarious that the NYPD claims no such photos exist of the Lennon crime scene when they quite certainly do. Some of them are used in the documentary from A&E that I uploaded. But I have yet to find any hard copies. I agree with you though. I would kill (no pun intended) to see the lobby.

  • So great to see what it looked like where John and Yoko lived. Have only ever seen a few photos of the Dakota inside! Have you seen the movie Rosemarys Baby, filmed inside

  • Rosemary's Baby was only filmed from the exterior. The rest was filmed on a soundstage.

  • The Dakota does have an interesting past without a doubt.

  • It has a great history even aside from John and Yoko. It would still be a beautiful place to live in, but they kind of overshadow all of its history. I am kind of surprised that they were approved to live in The Dakota though. I mean, when they moved in, they had kind of calmed down on their political speech, but you would think a lot of Dakota residents would have been aging/older residents who wanted anybody BUT a John Lennon to move in.

  • did yoko re-marry?

  • It is widely rumored, but not officially confirmed, that she married Sam Havadtoy, but the official story is that they were just together as a couple until 2001.

  • In early 1981 Ono was actually being photographed with Havadtoy, such as, walking thoughout Manhattan, and at a baseball game. Then we never saw much of him in the media. I wonder why?

While there is nothing wrong with having a friend of the opposite gender, my impression was that they were romantically involved within months of John's murder. I suspect that is out of the ordinary behaviour for most widows.

  • Yoko and Sam Havadtoy were photographed as a couple as early as February 1981.

  • Unreal. Hey...I just sent you a private message. Hope you enjoy it.

  • I just wanted to say, a month later, that I did read your message and I did enjoy it. I will send you a real response soon. I just get a large volume of email from a lot of people and it makes it hard to respond to everyone at that exact moment. Heck, I have been meaning to send bigpaul1980 an email for like two months now, but I hope you didn't think I was ignoring you or that I didn't read your message. Thank you for viewing.

  • Does Yoko still own the extra space in the Dakota such as her office and storage rooms?Which side of the building is their appartment on.I assume Sean has his own place now.

  • Yoko continues to live in apartment 72 at The Dakota and as far as I know she still owns the other apartments. Apartment 71, down the hall from apartment 72, was used by Sean as his residence from the age of about 15 until I guess now. I don't know if Sean continues to live at The Dakota. But if he does, it's more than likely in apartment 71.

  • Also, some of these interiors are just god awful. I mean, like towards the end of the video. What in the hell were they thinking?

I think my favorite apartment is the first one and the apartment at around 2:30.

  • That kitchen looks familiar.... hey where's John Cassavettes and Mia Farrow??? lol Excellent post!

  • I actually should have added Mia Farrow so I could have made a reference to Dear Prudence which was written for her sister, Prudence Farrow.

  • The price tag is way up there. Personally, I couldnt spend that kinda cash for living quarters with so many homeless, etc. I dont think i could sleep well. Thanx for all of your wonderful posts dude!

  • Thanks!

I wouldn't worry too much about the homeless thing. I mean, it sucks, but what can you personally do about it? It's a bigger problem than you. Homelessness isn't a problem because you have a 25.5 million dollar apartment in The Dakota, it's a problem because of lack of education, drug addiction, alcoholism, mental illness, or choice.

I was reading about The Dakota in preparation for this video and they said a con of living there was because it was "frequented by John Lennon fans."
