Otherwise I think this is a good workstation, but I don't lik the sequencer that much.. It doesn't have that many editing functions and it may be hard to program something like orchestral stuff without using midi files.. Of course you can use the performance mode and the arpeggiators, but, the arpeggiator patterns need to be programmed first.. again it may be hard to program some stuff without midi files. I wish this instrumen would have pianoroll editing or somthing like that. I may get a M3..

STEREO L+R is two diferent signals. With this connection you can apreciate more the effects, like stereo delays, panoramic reverbs etc...

Can you create your own pattern/styles with accompanyment on the Motif XS ...just like some of the PSR arrangers?

yes, motif arpeggiators have many types with chordal intelligence.

psr arrangers are home keyboards so all the 8 phrases on the 8 tracks will play without any variation (unless you go to accompaniment B from A).

PSRs are very limited but Motif is fully professional and a lot more programmable...

i started out with PSRs too.

the xs6 will recognize chords on ur left hand? so its like auto-accompaniment?

it has arpegios, so if you run 4 of them in performance mode

eg.

Drums, Guitars, Bass, Pianos etc.

it will sound like an accompaniment.

but won't, it'll be arpegios. Which is better because you can change each one in realtime, for eg you could change the type of guitar from nylon to electric etc.

CWL. Anyone know a icelandic online store for music equipment??? I need(and want) a keyboard like this, cause it's much easier to carry arround than the Korg OASYS witch I have now. Someone I know bought a playstation 3 on Iceland for an 8th of the standard price(Norwegian Price), so I wonder has musical gear dropped this much too???

you sound like an amateur, boxisfun. I had the Roland Fantom, and I sold it due to lack of realism. However, Roland has its own warm sounds, and Yamaha has its own realistic, dynamic sounds. Instead of saying 'phoney', you should say something like 'not to my taste', etc.
