Too much power, If the bike could hook, it would own, but, when you have a shit ton of torque and hp on a bike that weighs nothing compared to what that V8 should be in, you're just gonna spin that tire bald, and get owned by a bike that's meant to hook and take off.

Now my issue is that most places have speed limits. Even in those that don't, there's still no real necessity of going 100+ miles an hour. So if we're honest here anything over a 125 is pretty unnecessary.
The point is, people get them because they want them. That's it, and you can't argue with that fact.

Certainly not quick by any stretch, but this thing looks cooler than anything and sounds like it's worth it's ridiculous price tag. Personally, I thing the 350 would be enough muscle. I raced one with a 400hp SB many years ago with my pretty stock V-Max. I whipped him 6 times. He could not comprehend that a lowly 150hp bike could beat him. So when he asked for another race, I said fine. The track wasn't busy that day and a curious crowd had gathered. The Hoss refused to launch straight, full throttle couln't be used for the first 100'. The V-Max ( a crude bike itself) shot off the line straight & fast every time. The Hoss looked very crude, and it's performance showed.
oh phooey all you bagging on the boss hoss. have you ever seen one up close? they are quite impressive and well engineered for the engine they use. if the rider hadn't almost lost the rear at the beginning it would have been even closer. but that's not the point. some people love small nimble bikes, while others love a massive machine with a 502 big block. both are impressive and both have their niche. can't the biking community just stand up for one another for once?

I've hot lapped with a ZX-12 and a ZX-14 and while they are both impressive bikes, theres still no comparison to the torque that the 502ci BBC puts out. It might not be in the best chassis for racing but it's still a blast to have all that raw power underneath you. Cool vid!

The American V8 is actually pretty good for mpg, if properly geared. My Camaro cruised around 65mph at 1500rpm's...got high 20's mpg. Not as good as my ZX14, but not bad for a 3400 pound muscle car. I wouldn't kick a Boss Hoss out of my garage.

Certainly not quick by any stretch, but this thing looks cooler than anything and sounds like it's worth it's ridiculous price tag. Personally, I thing the 350 would be enough muscle. The 502 would be for the "penis impaired". For those with an inverted penis, let's drop in a 572 for good measure. Oh yeah, make it supercharged.

I raced one with a 400hp SB many years ago with my pretty stock V-Max. I whipped him 6 times. He could not comprehend that a lowly 150hp bike could beat him. So when he asked for another race, I said fine. The track wasn't busy that day and a curious crowd had gathered. The Hoss refused to launch straight, full throttle couln't be used for the first 100'. The V-Max ( a crude bike itself) shot off the line straight & fast every time. The Hoss looked very crude, and it's performance showed.

oh phooey all you bagging on the boss hoss. have you ever seen one up close? they are quite impressive and well engineered for the engine they use. if the rider hadn't almost lost the rear at the beginning it would have been even closer. but that's not the point. some people love small nimble bikes, while others love a massive machine with a 502 big block. both are impressive and both have their niche. can't the biking community just stand up for one another for once?

@pickngrin4jc Fact of the matter is, Boss Hoss was SPINNING! Too MUCH horsepower can be detrimental to performance too. If you can't put it to the road, then you've just lost the race. Both are nice bikes too IMO, each has their niche.

@pickngrin4jc you are right... for the horrible quality and performance of a chevy engine, they are a hell of a bike. very heavy and if you drop it, you might as well just leave it there. still very very cool bikes though. i would never own a harley but i will give em respect and ill admit if i like one, but then again, it isnt my bike and cant say what someone should and shouldnt have done. bikers should all stick together.

If that HOSS was set up for drag racing with the proper suspension setup, a longer swingarm, beefed up chassis, some nice wide back rubber, and a wheelie bar it would take that Kawi and snap it over it's theoretical knee! I've hot lapped with a ZX-12 and a ZX-14 and while they are both impressive bikes, theres still no comparison to the torque that the 502ci BBC puts out. It might not be in the best chassis for racing but it's still a blast to have all that raw power underneath you. Cool vid!

I think a boss hoss motorcycle is more of a " hey, look at me!" thing, i personally dont see why you'd put a v8 on a motorcycle when it obviously doesn't have a way to get the power to the ground, that's why big blocks are typically in cars with wide freakin tires.

The American V8 is actually pretty good for mpg, if properly geared. My Camaro cruised around 65mph at 1500rpm's...got high 20's mpg. Not as good as my ZX14, but not bad for a 3400 pound muscle car. I wouldn't kick a Boss Hoss out of my garage.
