  • Eww! This is awful compared to the original!

  • Gee...Sonic is probably one of the least expected gaming icons I know that survived for 20 years despite all the shit he's gone through.

  • 0:00-0:15 weird it sounds like the original

    0:16 HOLY SH...

  • Whats awesome in sonic adventure 1, the characters are so freakin shiny!

  • @Merim1993 Thats in SA:DX the 1 for GameCube.

  • @playarea51 wait, whats the difference between SA 1 and SA:DX???

  • @Merim1993 SA1 was on DreamCast , And SA:DX had slight differences from the original for exaple some items were in variuos & annoying to get places. SA for dream Cast had no shiny characters, but SA:DX did.but thats all i know.

  • @playarea51 ahh i see, alright thanks. Now i know the difference.

  • @Merim1993 Also in the DC version all the characters are unlocked, in DX you have to unlock them, or is it the other way around? "DAMN NOT HERE"

  • @playarea51 lol i get it, thanks for the info.

  • @playarea51 Actually you have to unlock them in the DC version, too.

  • @playarea51 The GCN port of Sonic Adventure was overhauled in many ways. First, the texture pack dropped in quality and resolution. If you play the DC version next to the GCN, the Dreamcast textures and backdrops look tons better. Second, the GCN had character models completely redone. Each character except Big and E-102 had a higher polygon count and different textures. The GCN made everything smooth and shiny, where the DC version tried to emulate fur.

  • this is my favorite stage on sonic adventure 1, the best 3D sonic game ;D

  • god i hope my gamecube still works.

  • @TMcKeon408 mine still does and so does my dreamcast, where i can play sonic adventure on both of them :D

  • GOD this song brings back memories.

  • SADX!!!!!!!!

  • DAT GUITAR!!!

  • This should be the theme for MODERN Emerald Coast,

  • You know.. They could have used the original version of this song, because it allready sounded 80's like..

  • Sonic is better than, Mario,Crash, and Spyro!

  • @spider486 Aren'`t Crash and Spyro dead?

  • @RockBand971 Yep

  • @RockBand971 Spyro is still alive! But, be warned, your childhood will not be the same. AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Nevetsboy2 I played it, he's dead, way more than Crash.

  • I freaking hate this level. The design, object placement, and bottemless pit placement is downright TERRIBLE. Why are are so many crates? What's terrible is that every time you use Internet Battle, the opponent always chooses THIS.

  • @TheROBLOXAlexMario Because its fun xD

  • @TheROBLOXAlexMario So you dont like it because your not good at it?

  • @TheROBLOXAlexMario and the awsome classic music, hell yeah!

  • 3:02 just gives me goosebumps all over my body!!!

    sounds sooo emotional...

  • This level in this game sucks anus. It looks good, but that doesn't mean it plays good.

  • @turbotim33 Don't blame the game, blame the player. I play this level many times and I havn't had trouble with it.

  • @theshredder39 the overuse of pits is what i meant.

  • I'm not saying there was o effort. The classic gameplay style was perfect to me. Props to dimps for that. I apologize for the hate bomb there. It's just it "felt lazy" Considering how big the original was. and with sonic 4 being a disappointment. But i still think that the classic era was lazyily done imo. That is a fact to me.

  • @theshredder39 It essentially became Rush without the boost. Pits and homing attack. That's what ticked me off.

  • @Thesuperduperbooster

yea i can get where you're coming from, though i don't know where you're getting pits from those were in the classic games too like Starlight Zone, Scrap Brain,Spring Yardm, the later levels of Sonic CD, ect

  • @Thesuperduperbooster You mean Sonic 4 :D

  • hell, why stop here sega? sega should make more games with classic sonic in!

  • @EASTWICKgames they brought him back only in generations just to celebrate his 20th anniversary. they said they might start making games separately for both sonics, thus appealing to everyone, but for now they don't have anything planned for classic sonic.

  • @alienwaregamerx2011 ah. i still hope we get another classic sonic game. maybe sega could finally release sonic x-treme... who knows

  • @EASTWICKgames x-treme gives me headaches. :P If they do release a game like x-treme it better have an option for the fisheye.

  • 0:16 and there goes the E. Sitar

  • Oh man, memories of coming here to get 400 rings just so you could have money for the Chao garden. I kinda wish they used this stage for the console version though D:

    NotlikeI'mnotgettingbothofcourse.

  • JUMP ON PANEL NUMBER 1. IT WILL TAKE YOU TO PANELS TWO AND THREE. JUMP AS SOON AS YOU LAND ON THE PANEL OR ELSE YOU'LL FALL.

  • this is amazing....

better than the unlocked emerald coast remix from the console Sonic Generations version lol

  • you know what most people say the 3DS sucks just because Modern Sonic doesn't play like Unleashed and Colors as well as Classic Sonic having a homing attack but if they actually sit down and try the game out they may think differently, i got the game just yesterday and i'm having a blast, the best handheld Sonic game i've ever played next to Advance 1

  • @theshredder39 Plus, classic Sonic has a homing attack in the console versions, too.

  • @utubeviewer971 well the point i'm getting across is the 3DS version of it specificly because it's a forced skill, in the console versions is completely optional

  • @theshredder39 Well, even though it's always turned on doesn't mean you have to press B a second time to use it.

  • @utubeviewer971 yea i know, i've said that several times to other people because most of these same people who hate the game for the reasons i stated don't want to accept that you don't have to use it, hell when i first played the game and got to the Dreamcast era for the first time i forgot Classic Sonic was given a homing attack for the entirety of Emerald Coast and i did just fine

  • @theshredder39 Yeah they just added it for people who suck at classic gameplay.

  • @utubeviewer971 i can kind of understand that, though those aren't the words i'd use but essentially yea, the younger Sonic fans are so used to getting saved by a boost or a homing attack and because the 3D games for the longest time focused more on the speed than the platforming when there really should be a balance between the two like in the classic games, the younger fans are spoiled and end up playing wrecklessly in the classic games

  • @theshredder39 I noticed that when I played sonic 1 and 2 on the PS3's virtual console.

  • @theshredder39 Not to mention it just feels like SEGA said "You don't want homing attack? I don't care, shut the hell up!"

  • @Dusk209 not really, considering you don't have to press the jump butten the second time if you don't want to, granted you would need to use the homing attack to get a lot of the S ranks in the 3DS version if you really care about that

  • @theshredder39 Considering what you said about S ranks and the fact that everything gets this annoying red target on it, yes really.

  • @Dusk209 the S ranks i can understand but people aren't always going to get S ranks after they already got it dude so they can just go play normally, and what does the red target matter? if you don't like the homing attack don't use it, it's not like the moment the red target appears the game forces you to press the jump butten a second time, that's the players fault for making the choice to do so (comment continueing)

  • @theshredder39 It's just annoying to hear the beeping sound all the time.

Also, EVERYONE says just don't press it a second time, I'm just mad because SEGA thought to put it in. If sonic adventure 3 came out after 20 years and they added in the boost I'm sure many people would be pissed even if it's not forced. The game would be DESIGNED around it so it would just be annoying overall.

  • @Dusk209 what sense does it make to have a problem with it if it isn't forced? if it's optional there's a reason, look at Sonic Generations, yea you're forced to play as both Sonics to progress through the game but after that you have the option to play as modern or classic levels only, same goes for the hidden skills, you don't have to equipt any of those things if you don't want to because it's only there for people who would like to have those things

  • @theshredder39 They did it much better in the 360ps3/pc version because homing attack was unlockable and optional.

In the 3DS version you don't HAVE to use it, I get your point. But the way they shove it in your face after beating the big arm is not cool.

  • @Dusk209 well what's the difference between the way they tell you you;ve unlocked it in the console versions as opposed to the 3DS version? i mean when you unlock it on the console versions which you most likely will do because most Sonic fans are trying to unlock all the music, most people had to figure out what you unlock in which stages for themselves so naturally the game tells you that you have a homing attack, the 3DS version while i'll admit is much earlier into the game does the same

  • @theshredder39 Well it could be because the console version doesn't make it a part of classic's sonics gameplay. DIMPS not Sonic team are notorious for this. They intended for it to be used in latter levels. Just because it doesn't "have to" be used does not change it's purpose.

  • @theshredder39 In stages like radical highway it is pretty obvious that the level design had shifted once out of the classic era to homing attack. (Actually because the classic era is almost just a copy paste of there original versions)Oh sure you don't have to use it but it becomes pretty difficult in later levels NOT to use it. It just shows how dimps is. Their level design for most sonic games is like that. They just didn't want to be creative with C. sonic and gave him the HA.

  • @Thesuperduperbooster The Dimps hate is ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure the case wasn't that they didn't want to be "creative". They had 6 months to develop the game. If you know something about programming, you'd know that's really not a lot of time.

Given what the time frame, they did an amazing job all things considered. Sure, they had to make cuts (noticeable in how Water Palace and Tropical Resort's classic music is unchanged), but with the levels themselves, missions, etc. there's effort.

  • @Dusk209 *ahem* That's not good!

  • @Dusk209 and hell the first time i played the game and got to the Dreamcast era i already forgot Classic Sonic earned a homing attack because at that point i was already used to playing as Classic without it and you know what? i did just fine in Classic Emerald Coast and Radical Highway, yea i didn't get an S rank but i had a smoothe playthrough of the level regardless, it wasn't until Classic Water Palace that i remembered i had a homing attack

  • Its a Azure Blue World out there. :P

  • @nintendoninja9000 Well now it is. Since both Sonics ran all over it.

  • If you ask me 'Azure Blue World' should've been the modern remix cuz the tempo is slightly faster and would fit Modern Sonic better.

  • 0:16 And there goes the E. Sitar.

  • The guitar in this sends shivers down my spine. It's awesome.

  • I could complain that most of the tracks arent remixed that much but since the oringal tracks were awsome anyway, im going to shut up and listen to the music

  • I really like this remix it is wonderful, a nice exclusive for the 3DS.

  • amazing

  • If I'm not mistaken isn't this a slight remix of Spring Stadium from Sonic 3D Blast? I remember seeing something like that in a video that was showing how some newer Sonic songs were remixes of older ones.

  • @technologick1183 I wouldn't be surprised if you found any similarities, as Jun Senoue wanted to bring in some of his Genesis 3D Blast compositions to SA1 since the Japanese never got the Genesis version.

  • @chicobo329

And you just taught me something. I didn't know Japanese players didn't have the honor of playing the Genesis version.

  • @technologick1183 That's right! They got the game too late so they had to bring in the Saturn version (with its different soundtrack that Jun didn't do) which came out in Japan after Sonic Adventure did, but before Sonic Adventure International.

  • @chicobo329

Well, that sucks. It's the equivalent of us not getting the Final Mix versions of Kingdom Hearts or the PAL/International versions of some Final Fantasy games. Either way, at least they got a piece of Sonic history like we got the opportunity to hear "Toot-Toot Sonic Warrior" or whatever the actual name is.

  • awesomeness. they put more focus on the guitar melody in this

  • the best song from sonic adventure if im personally honest. this remix is so fucking amazing

  • Yaaay! Love this song, and nice remix of it. Feels...."hip"?

  • Such nostalgia!
