if you guys havent heard of these canadian rockers i highly suggest you do.... Trooper (put on a great show) Loverboy, April Wine, headpins, BTO or Guess Who, Prism and rush.

Seen all of these bands except rush they all put on fabulous shows BTO Trooper and april wine are my favorites though

Wonderful song. Such a talented group. One of Canada's best bands ever. The songwriting was amazing and they played so well. They also had a funny sense of humor if you've seen their music videos. I believe they still tour today. Some of their songs were absolutely amazing. I love the Album Dreams. Dreams, Dreams. Should be considered one of the classic Albums from the 1970's. Fly At Night alone is worth the price of admission. God bless them! :)

Thanks for putting this up...for a long time the only version I could find here was the ridikkilus version by Boyzone....if you want a laugh it's number one. Doesn't quite capture the feeling of the song though.

Gavin & Iain Sutherland are brothers and were born in Aberdeenshire Scotland. There is only 15 miles apart from where they were born, I live in Aberdeen.

The way a Canadian says the word "out," as in "he got the puck out of his own zone," is that a Canadian puts an extra syllable to make it sound like "ow-ooht." I like that. I think it is charming. Same thing with "about" or anything else that rhymes with "out."

It's an obscure site, and he has only garnered a few hundred votes after more than a year! If you think that he would be a deserving recipient, PLEASE go to gonegonegone-dot-com and register your vote. If 6,200+ have viewed this video alone, he must have a lot of fans out there.

You bellends would say that being Canadian. The original is way better by the Sutherland Brothers (who weren't brothers) they both came from two different small villages in Scotland. They also wrote rod Stewarts - Sailing.

I gave both a listen and I have to agree with the popular sentiment that Chilliwack gives this tune a little more spark. I guess it's difference between folk sound and the rock sound. Given that I first heard and liked the Chilliwack rendition I also like it better. (and uh, we can do without the sophomoric comments of the likes of mrkcdc...)
