mission architect was ok, I guess but I got so tired of playing maniac slammers 500 times! I thought issue 15 was much better with the colors and being able to get xp even tho you exempted. Thats just me. It sure divided the CoH community when the devs started to interfere with other peoples missions.

This issue has ruined the game in my opinion, no one plays the game anymore...people only want to make architect missions to farm with; so basically the entire game revolves around farming now.

@15Virtus I took a break for over a year and just started playing again a few days ago and it is a whole different game.. ruined. I can't believe it. Maybe the problems will be addressed and people will shift back to doing regular missions and stuff but I can't see that happening for a long time. The game doesn't even "feel" the same anymore; it's like a whole different experience.... I want my COH back!!

I wish we can opt to have missions we make not be rated at all. It's just stupid that I have to deal with someone that messages me complaining how hard something is (that I can solo or duo with no problem.) I don't make my missions for everyone and I DO want the experience, infamy and even debt from mistakes in battle but I don't want some strangers rating my missions bad because they are small minded or too poor a player to complete them. I care less about the little tickets & badges.

I wish I ever saw so many people online. It probably is that crowded on US servers, but on the European ones... It's a fucking ghost town. Does anyone know how to switch to US servers?

DAMN, DAMN, DAMN, WHY?! Why did NC have to come out with some thing SO awesome a few months after I deleted my lvl 50 Electric Electric Brute?! He was great at PvP, I took on a 50 Fire/ fire tank and a 50 Axe/ Invulnerability tank at once and won!!! DAMN, DAMN, DAMN!!! Must renew account... *Takes out credit card*

can you still play city of heroes vs villains with out the AE editon of City of Heroes?

Your client needs to be up to date, but if you have an older edition of CoH or CoV, your client will automatically download and install the updates for free. That may take some time, but you won't have to pay for it. The AE edition is just a nice "get on board" edition that allows new players to install the game without having to download seven issues worth of new content.

Really, so all the issue updates are free, but you just have to pay monthly that's all, because I COX edition.

The new mission architect which has all but killed all credibility for City of Heroes when now a Hero can get from 1-50 within one day, no character progression, its got ridiculous to a point no one does any mission arcs now, everybody farms.

They've fixed those farm missions. Headed out into Atlas last night, no one was advertising farms. Story-based missions and sewer runs only, as well as extensive discussion over the farm fix.

And I for one am glad of that fact. The farms were clogging up the broadcast channel. Twinks everywhere are bitching, but that's what they deserve for trying to cheat the game, in my opinion.

I love CoH, I just got my fly (Not hover) and I'm lovin' it even more. I just hate how unrealistic the "3D" looks. Ya know, the stretch marks on suits, or the trees (Pine especially) and the water. I think they need a bit of a graphics tune up. Computers are ready for it.

Second Life, Ryzom Ring, There, MetaPlace (not released yet, but in beta and was available before Issue 14 of CoX), Sims Online (Shut down, but it existed none the less, and was an mmorpg), LinkRealms (closed beta)

This is so much fun- I have a story arch in the process, and as much as it is fun to create it, it's just as fun to test them out.

This is eventually going to get boring. I love MA but like the ouro arcs and the RWZ arcs, they are just eventually going to get old :/

Not sure what you mean that these will get old. As of the end of the 2nd day since release, there are about 20,000 new story arcs. Some are definitely not the highest quality, but if even 10% of them are decent quality, this is an exponential increase in fresh game content. I have no doubt, there will be refinements to the system in future issues, and probably even sooner.

Not likely, they make sure that any custom created enemy has offenseve capabilities, and the way the system works, they are usually harder than normal enemies

There are still farms, they're just not pushover enemies. Huge missions, with nothing but lieutenants, bosses and elite bosses.

It's not really a bad thing though. The MA gives plenty of potential for other stuff too. Besides, it's not like leveling was ever difficult before, heh.

You don't have to use custom enemies though.

But they have reduced rewards, and they don't count towards badges. So you can't have a mission of nothing but Rikti Monkies to get the Zookeeper badge. I mean, you can have a mission of Rikti monkies... but you wont get anything towards the badge. Farms on Architect are mostly ticket farms, and badge objective farms (a mission with dozens of glowies, kinda thing) don't see the point, personally, since you need to run a certain number of missions if you want to be a badge completist anyway.

The MA is easy to pick up, but as complicated as you want it to be. Just create a one-off missions or a five story arc. Place objectives and enemies, even make custom critters and enemy groups.  BAM! :)

My favorite mission so far was having to rescue Einstein, Lincoln and Benjamin Franklin... then fighting beside them to defeat the Nazis who had taken control of time travel lol.
