elkhartmartin......actually, the network that broadcasted this is the dummy, they misspelled it, Santana just mispronounced it, honest mistake. R.I.P. Miles & James Hubert Blake.............Airto!!!, such energy, Herbie, nuff said!!
Give thanks "macloni," good work, fine tribute. Why a commentator would dis the Shaman Santana, or say a guitarist couldn't play his stuff . . . Hendrix was his stuff, and Miles was Hendrix's stuff and the stuff is the filling of the man, the genius is beyond the man waiting for the waiting man. Thanks again all good waiting man.
there's a vid posted up here of the miles/herbie carter shorter williams quintet where a very young herbie does something miles likes and you see miles give him this amazing little smile on stage, really the warmest facial expression i've ever seen in an image of miles.
its funny how santana plays sketches of spain and in a silent way on his guit in these videos, because miles didn't write ne of those songs :P but he does talk about his marvelous phrasing and suhc
@StevieLeeRachel True, concerto de aranguez is from the spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo. But however, although it isn't from Miles Davis, it is a good example.
@StevieLeeRachel that's because people like what miles did with those pieces more than the actual pieces themselves. appartently, zawinul didn't even like what miles did with in a silent way, but everyone else did.
2:00 following: Airto one man band - stunning!!!

I was waiting for John Mclaughlin... why they eliminate him? His part in Bitches Brew is unforgettable!
Anyway good film:)

Airto pretty much brought Miles back from the dead with his performance. It was an exorcism.
