  • STOP KONY 2012

  • i like the beatles but theres something really creepy about them

  • brrrrrite

  • i always thought they were trying to spell help on the album cover

  • @ryandeakin5878 They were going to, but those letters didn't look good and so they just used 4 random ones that worked well, NUJV.

  • @ryandeakin5878 all i got was HYL\

  • Does the way they hold their arms and hands represent anything?

  • @icabodcranium YES, HELP. AHAHAHAHA

  • @fodgd Really! John looks like he's holding a lower case t.

  • @icabodcranium nah. During their movie Help! they sing ticket to ride. They're playing in snow, and they are in these coats making random movements. They mustve just picked a random shot and made it the cover! (:

  • @Teeheehehehahahoho Thank You

  • @icabodcranium it's meat to be "HELP" but the designer thought it wasn't asthetically pleasing enough... instead it reads "NJVC" :')

  • @sambalino123 Thank you.

  • I love that picture of them. Every time I see it it makes me grin. Teehee, look at those sillies.

  • Que bella !!! Con este LP dormia a mi nene mayor

  • what a voice. Why didn't he like this song. I could listen to this 24/7.

  • I love when he says "Bright" :)

  • The most true Beatleish sound of all their work!!!!

  • I love this♥

  • why am i so shy when i'am inside you :)

  • @tigerwoodsondxm XD ew It's "beside you"!!!

  • @tigerwoodsondxm WOW! Never caught that one. Amazing what they slipped in the lyrics back then.

  • Hey guys! you know instead of being such a great, beatiful and underrated song, it reminds me of a time when i wasn´t having a good time, it has to be with life and death, but now, a few months later it´s only a beautiful song for me, it´s only love....

  • @AnTaReS011191 beatles4ever

  • It's only love and that is all !!!

  • It's Only Love = Underratted

  • @romans52345 My brother got a present from my late Grandmother when he passed his leaving cert in 1966, she bought him two Beatles album A Hard Day's Night and Help, when i heard them on this record player i was fell in love with the Beatles i was only 7, it is still as fresh today as it was then, A Hard Day's Night was released in 1964, and Help in 1965, i have all Beatles Albums, Cassette Tapes, CDs, Videos, and of course Dvds, long live John RIP, in fact long live the Beatles,

  • If you are a Beatles fan search for "Truth Contest" in Google and click the 1st result, then open The Present and read through the section about The Beatles. What it says will blow your mind.

  • @randycasey99 Yes it is

  • my fave john song

  • i wsh i had a time machine

  • @TheWizard101123 .......I knowwww :(....Go back to those days when great and meaningful music/songs were made....

  • Can you believe that John actually thought this song was stupid???

  • @leadoffeohippus Hahaha, You can bealive anything from him.. He was a fuckin genious...

  • I get high when I see you go by. :)

  • one of best songs i ever heard..

  • A masterpiece composed by Lennon. The best song in the Help album, and one of the Beatles absolute best songs.

  • This song was meant to be sung with a smile :)

  • 1:05 You can tell he's smiling while singing "Very bright" (:

  • @JohnLennonILoveYou umm john lennon thought this was his worst song

  • @ryandeakin5878 That's irrelevant. He was smiling/laughing when he sung that part, you can tell. (:

  • @JohnLennonILoveYou

    I like your account name

  • I walked into a bar today, and this song was playing and I was the only girl and guys were staring at me like I was a goddess :D

  • I broke youtube :( it won't let me rewatch it anymore. I watched it too much, it says I've inappropriately watched it too much. :'(

  • wordless *o*

  • lol brrrrrrrright, luv the beatles, ''beetles'' 4 ever

  • i sang this to my girlfriend when i started off having a crush on her

  • 12 people didn't catch sight of John...

  • Love John's voice and performance!!

  • Lovely vocals but very boyzone-esque Genius needs to go through its phases! There is nothing in this song to say they could be giants

  • @gruad999 Are you stupid ? They were already giants when this came out and how can you compare them to a nothing band that came thirty years later ?

  • Thank you Razo, you sound like a good guy. I love these songs

  • I luv the beatles and John Lennon

  • 11 people have no life.

  • :3

  • "Haven't I the right to make it up girl."

  • and think that Lennon always hate this song

  • I love the lyrics...And John... AND The Beatles.

  • Maybe he hated it because of the pain he was going through that inspired the song.

  • The first sentence, JOHN! U HAVE ALWAYS GOTTEN HIGH LOL

  • @IFeelFine2011 Hell yes it is.

  • The Beatles have influenced me more than poetry and politics, from my earliest days dancing to their iconic early dance songs to my days in college exploring psychedlics with them on the turntable. Thank God for bringing them together.

  • I own this Album and I love this song

  • Apparently this is the only song that John ever wrote that he truly hated. I can't really fathom that, though. I love it so much! It's beautiful! :'o

  • this song tells all i feel

  • this has nothing to do with the video, but the hell happened to youtube

  • Maybe John didn't liked this song but for me it's just... magical

  • @alucardumineko316 i feel like john didnt like a lot of his good ones! this song is amazing....a classic john song i'd say...he also never liked "and your bird can sing" which is another amazing song.

  • maybe he hates the nicest part of him . I agree this song is pure wonder and it makes me almost cry every time i hear . BEST REGARDS . ALAIN

  • @alucardumineko316 John Lennon was always as critical of his own work, as he was the work of others. One of my fav Beatles songs is "Run for Your Life", John spoke of "Run for Your Life" in a 1973 interview saying it was his "least favorite Beatles song".

Whenever I drink Whiskey and Coke, one of The Beatles favorite drinks, I always make a toast to John:

May the best "Working Class Hero" to ever pickup a guitar, forever R.I.P.

  • @tripleJ1955 I said in another post: I think "Run for Your Life" was a song John loved and enjoyed playing. It expressed his anger and teenage bravado. Later he was talking to Yoko, trying to explain things away. It was a cool song and he knew it.

  • John Lennon never liked this song. Fact.

  • girls, if a boy dedicates you this song, marry him<3

  • I can really relate to this song at the moment!

  • WHY SO SHORT!!!!!??

  • "i get high, when i see you go by" ..... when i heard the "RUBBER SOUL" album for the first time ..... i couldn't stop listening to it ....... for days on end ..... still awesome to me!

  • I remember studying and practicing this song on my guitar in order to impress my sweet sweet true love for our second date..so many years ago now...

  • John fact: John didn't like this song.

  • @Julesnshane Like a lot of his songs, which I couldnt even think about doing I mean theyre all great

  • Ya, i was thinking of the American album

  • BTW the album its really on is Rubber soul. =D

  • @MrApplesaus No it's not. Well not on the UK Rubber Soul anyways. It's on the American album, but the CDs were from the British albums.

  • This song reminds me of me.

  • When I first heard this song, I could not believe what I was hearing. It is like candy for my hears.

  • I like how he says bright (:

  • @TheTrailerParkKids Sounds like "veddy bright."

  • I'm doing it again! I'm spending hours listening to one old Beatle song after another. It always starts out with, "Gee, I haven't heard this song in years." And end up with, "Man, it's 2:00 already?" I mean, did you ever try to eat just one peanut?

  • @JCitr7 Oh, Man---you have nailed it!

  • Join Always The Beatles on facebook !!!!

  • lil bit of roy orbison in there

  • PLAY IT LOUD,PLAY IT LONG AND SAY BRIGHT WITHA DOUBLE RR

  • I could listen this song all my life

  • kickass performance by John!

  • This is another one of their pot songs

  • oh yeah...perfection

  • Such a great song, one of their songs that I deeply loved the moment I first heard it. A sombre, haunting ballad. Lennon could lay in the goods during the first half of their recording career; too bad it decreased as time went by.

  • lol i tried singing this when i had a cold and i sounded like john xD

  • i've never had a life experience pertaining to a beatle song, maybe when i fall in love i'll understand

  • Lyrically it is a bit of a throwawy, and John cared about his lyrics but melodically it is simply majestic. I bought Help the day after John was shot and it was this song which made me cry, having also just broken up with my first gf.

  • John didn't like this song as he confessed later and also hated Run For Your Life.

  • Questa canzone potevano evitare di inciderla una delle più brutte dei beatles, chi l'ha scritta?

  • @xrockxxandxxrollerxx @XsbcatfangX what if you guys are gay ?

  • Love is all!!!

  • He rolls the letter r when talking

    when he says bright

  • @GoldenBeatles Indeed

  • BRIGHT,very bright xD

  • @GoldenBeatles Yes, Bright very bright

  • @GoldenBeatles Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrright :p

  • this is my favorite song in the world......

  • My band has played this song for many years. I enjoy singing it so much, that we've added extra choruses and refrains to it, to lengthen it. I actually get high singing it. My son is in his first year of college and has formed a band. And yes, he does this song also. He never told me before just how much he loves it. So, if you are looking for true "staying power" in a band, it's The Beatles.

  • Happy Birthday, John<3

    I love you.

  • Happy birthday Johnny!!!

  • Happy birthday John Lennon, thanks so much for all your beautiful songs. Especially this one.

  • :D

  • :fuckyea:

  • @MAGICO240 During this period (the Help! album) he was heavily influenced by Bob Dylan. You'll see he has the same nasal vocal style on You've Got To Hide Your Love Away, which is very much Dylan inspired. Singers experiment with different vocal styles at different points in their career, just lisen to McCartney on Lady Madonna compared to his singing on earlier records. Hell Mick Jagger has been impersonating a black blues singer from the deep south for forty years!

  • :feellikeasir:

  • Mark it fab!

  • Gary U.S. Bonds does a great version of this song on his "Dedication" album.

  • So many things happened to John -- including drugs and alcohol and smoking -- that may have affected his voice - both singing and talkingwise.

  • Se me quito el dolor de cabeza con esta cancion (:

  • Another song that Lennon and McCartney called a "toss off". One of their most lackluster recordings.

  • Golliwogg APPROVES of this song.

  • there is a version where on the final refrain he sings, "but it's so hard lovin you, GETS so hard lovin you........................................gee I wonder what he was refering to.

  • dear john, The sight of you makes the night very brright, very bright. But its more than love I ador and admire you.

  • His problems were the effects of losing his mother.

  • Awww! He's so cute! The desperation of it all.... "Just the sight of you makes night time brright. Very bright" I love him.. He's my favorite Beatle. It's only love, John, and that is all, why should I feel the way I do...?

  • I love this song, one of my favorite Beatles songs. I love the way he says "when im beside you..."

  • my eyes dilate when i see girls.

  • It´s Only Love is a masterpiece, composed by Lennon. The straight falling melody and the +chord in "...butterfly...". The fantastic singing with tender and in the middle part, with desperation. I think it is the best song in the Help-album.

By some reason Lennon despised the song, and therefor McCartney and all the others also had to despise it.

    Johan Cavalli

  • Another innovation, notice that John doubled his voice in places. They are two separate tracks of his voice. That is not only difficult, but takes a genius like George Martin to get it acceptable for release..

  • @pianoman4rent Doubletracking vocals is actually quite easy. You would be surprised how a singer will natually replicate his or her voice, when asked to record it twice. I once thought the same as you, but when I made my first doubletracked vocal (on an ancient Dokorder 4 track), I nailed it with ease. I am not saying that Sir George is not a genius though. He most definately is. After all, he is THE fifth Beatle. Cheers.

  • I just love the way he prononces "Why am I so shy ?" always does the same effect ! :D

  • Put the lyrics.

  • Also John's voice became more rough in the 70's on purpose. He engaged in primal scream therapy and found a lot of peace doing so. He basically decided to include that rough edge into nearly all of his music, but it doesn't mean his soft voice was gone. Listen to "Hold on John" on the Plastic Ono Band record, it's still there.

  • questa la cantavo sempre a una mia fidanzatina...long time ago...

  • @Jeefo519 So as you!

  • @Jeefo519 Pojedes govno, or worse, popusis kurcinu is what we here in Serbia have to say;)

  • @Jeefo519 you too, !!

  • Love that song !!!!

  • Que bella, no la recordaba

  • This song was another case of John trying to write the perfect Roy Orbison song.

  • A friend of mine who is the biggest Beatles fan I know has got an original autographed photograph of the Beatles from 1964 and several days ago I had a chance to hold the photo in my own hands. I felt like touching the Ten Commandments tablet:-D One of the best minutes in my life:-)

  • @ZZqezza Wow i hate you soo badly... you are the luckiest person in the planet, of course without counting yourfriend...

  • @thunde56782 Yeah, he's one lucky bastard. If I were him I would literally cuddle with the photo every night. The not so funny thing is that he almost broke up with his girlfriend because he brought the photo instead of a car which they needed badly. But who could blame him right?:-)

  • I LOVE THE yyyyyyyyyyyyyooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!! PART! SOOO MUCH!!! makes me calmer and melt. :)

  • *Brrright*

    :)

  • (lol I wish he was talking about Paul)

  • @XsbcatfangX Lol, what if he was?

  • @xrockxxandxxrollerxx I'd probably cry happiness.

  • @xrockxxandxxrollerxx He was talking about cynthia.

  • @xrockxxandxxrollerxx Oh my goodness, I don't think they were gay.....were they? :o

NOOOO...I'm such a huge fangirl!!!! He's my dream guy ! xDDD

  • @DidYouJustMakeThatUp In that case his voice should have sounded better, which was not the case.

  • Thank you so much for posting all these great Beatles songs!!! -3

  • Sure Lennons voice did change, but not really for the worse, many of his later songs are better than the early Beatle songs. Just my opinion of course.

  • Hey guess what? John, Paul, George and Ringo.... were all really into drugs. They all did LSD, hell Paul was arrested in Japan for marijuana possession. LEARN YOUR FACTS. The facts being, they all made absolutely amazing music. None of their solo projects were that successful although Wings, and John Lennon were probably the most successful. Plastic Ono Band, Johns first album is all about his life, it's a drastic change from the Beatles, but in a way it almost contains more substance.
