  • @mrm0ng00se ya, and how active was she? could she swim a mile? could she run 5 or 6 miles? i'm sure jack could, with ease. there's a difference between living to 98 and existing to 98.

  • everybody ages at different rates. some people age faster some age slower. Exercise helps but nothing beats cellular decay. DNA strands grow shorter and shorter per reproductive cycle.

  • No! Jack died? :( Ah man.. What a great man he was!

  • Jack was the Stud, no doubt about that.

  • Just tried to do that and didn't move an inch then burt out laughing.

  • All they said was true I am mortal, who knew? I’ve always said, I can’t die It would ruin my image, oh my! I died of respiratory failure. It wasn’t old age, that’s for sure. For I was forever young. At least until that was taken by my lung. I am the godfather of fitness So now in all seriousness Exercise and eat healthy That’s the key to be truly wealthy -Jack LaLanne (through Aaron McCartney)
  • i love how the dog is chilling in the background

  • Wow, no wonder Jack LaLanne lived so long. He works out everything! You should see him at 94: youtube .com/watch?v=CKEHWISVi9U

  • Thanks for everything jack,

.... I guess heaven was getting a bit out of shape.

  • @Alyion no, God was getting out of shape so he called jack and gladly accpeted his offer, see you soon Don of Fitness and Health

  • I read in the L.A. times that Jack was such a push-up master, Arnold S. (our useless ex-governor) once said nobody in their right mind would challenge in in a push-up contest. And Arnold could do a few push-ups. RIP Jack. You were one of a kind.

  • this guy should've been the first old spice man

  • rip

  • The man...unbelievable.

  • guy was amazing sad to see him go but he had a good long life and tried to help people in a very importanty area, sadly it hasnt worked for everyone yet. As if we arent already lazy enough, now theres a robot vaccum, so you can get fat on your couch while its being cleaned. great. RIP man.

  • Are you zohan?

  • dog at the beginning is like i give up lol

  • this guy is amazing, theres a reason he lived to be 96 we was "healthy"... to say the least. RIP Jack

  • I bet he got that from years of experience on the bed. You know he has it.

  • A powerful example of a true physical culturalist. He was strong, supple, resilient and intelligent. When I heard that he had finally died I dedicated my day's training to him and what I learned from him when I was a child watching his show with my Mom. Thank you Jack LaLanne for bringing the word and the experience of movement to millions of people. You are already missed.

  • @zenkahuna I swam a mile tonight, and I dedicated my workout to Jack as well. What an incredible man.

  • If we only knew how many heart attacks and strokes were prevented by Mr. Lalanne's efforts to get people to work out -- I'm sure it is many, many thousand. And if we only knew how many years of healthy human life were added to the lives of those who were inspired to take up a program of exercise after watching him, I think we'd be astounded! Rest in peace, Mr. Lalanne! You were a true hero!

  • RIP jack

  • wow! two one hand pushups on the fingertips! amazing ...he will inspire many generations to come. love you jack. rest in peace

  • How on earth did he get off the ground like that? I'm a very fit footballer (soccer to the americans) and quite strong for my size - I struggled like hell trying to get up like him! Very impressive.

  • "Get your husband to try it, but not you." HA! I loved the way he would "sneak in" the little sexual innuendos! What a guy!! We will certainly miss him.

  • A true pioneer and legend. RIP Jack.

  • The UPS man just brought my juicer Jack. Rest In Peace.

  • R.I.P Jack LaLane, Jan. 23... we will miss you!! God bless your precious soul! You inspired me!

  • The fact that he even uses the dog in the shot is so clever.

  • @TheSubwaysurfer Yes and he has without a doubt met up with his dog "Happy"...when you get to that other place, your pets come running to you...

  • Long before everyone was thinking about personal fitness, Jack was on TV preaching the fitness gospel and doing it well. Before the term,"branding"was even known, jack was doing that to. The ease in which he does these pustule! He looks like he's floating! Amazing

  • RIP Jack! You were an inspiration to many. LOL @ dog in video.

  • Like a boss.

  • RIP Jack LaLanne...on a sidenote, that looks exactly like my dog.

  • Jack Lalanne would've killed Bruce Lee with a single blow! R.I.P. Mr. Lalanne.

  • dude was a bad ass! RIP jack you'll be missed!

  • Well I wasn't around when Mr. LaLanne was on TV, but I remember ESPN Classic would air some of his TV show at 7.00am every morning back around 2003 or 2004. I was in middle school then, and I remember I would do all his morning stretches and exercises...hahaha! Then I started running cross country, working out at the gym 6 days a week, eating healthy, hydrating properly. Nobody more than Jack Lalanne is so directly responsible for my healthy lifestyle, and I'm deeply indebted. RIP Jack!

  • I've always liked Jack Lalanne. I bet you he's the swolest dude in heaven right now...probably workin out with Sampson and Jesus.

  • @biggamike Actually Scot Klein is probably the swolest, Lalanne is definitely the healthiest.

  • "Don't try that" - I'm way ahead of you, Jack!

  • What the hell was that noise at 0:11

  • Jack was truly ahead of his time.

  • RIP

  • Doing pushups with a dead dog in the background.

  • R.I.P Jack. I was exercising with you on TV in the early '60s. Bless you!

  • The overwhelming quality about Jack LaLanne is just the sheer joy, humor and enthusiasm he radiates in every video and it is contagious.

  • This dude was the truth. R.I.P.

  • look at that ass

  • what a great guy

  • I wonder if Bruce Lee and Jack Lalanne ever met. I think they were the ones who pioneered High Protein Supplements.

  • Major respect for this man

  • I have been weight-training and bodybuilding for almost thirty years and have seen the "golden era" right up to today's chemically enhanced bodybuilding freaks. Jack Lalanne is the "real deal" and is a true role model for men and women of all ages. God bless him.

  • Jacl lalane was one of the golden age of Bodybuilders. He still trains!!

  • it look like he was dry humping the floor

  • @bladeslash4 That's why he said "get your husband to try that". What a riot!

  • :) now that is training!

  • bruce lee is better .. oh well bruce is god .. this guys is beast !

  • @hozzy2

This guy isn't a martial artist, and when it comes to strength and endurance I'm sure there were things Bruce Lee couldn't match him at.

  • 0.0

  • jesus Christ!!

  • @navenodriza no ! it's Jack Lalanne !

  • good brother...that dude is tough.

  • Jack La Lanne > Chuck Norris

  • In comparison from Lalanne to Norris, Norris is nothing!

  • I love you Jack, 50 years ago after my son was born, I'd watch your show and work out along with you, I get asked now how do I keep in shape and I tell them it was working out with you, your amazing. Happy BD. Norma

  • im pretty sure he has a rope tied to his waist

  • 1013 push ups in 23 minutes... He could slap hulk Hogan with his pinky..

  • lalanne has some monster arms on him

  • im 13 and i can bench 410lbs raw no straps or suit.

i can also rope climb with one arm at 200lbs and no im being dead serious

  • @13andincrediblycut Who the hell uses straps to bench press?

  • @jaidaphire Some people do.

But Jack Lalanne is sexist. O.o

  • @13andincrediblycut A bench shirt, sure. But I thought straps were for deadlifts.

  • @jaidaphire Straps can be used in any powerlifting exercise OR ANY exercise to be precise. :)

    It depends on the person.

  • @13andincrediblycut So can pantyhose (it depends on the person), but I fail to see the purpose.

  • @jaidaphire I don't use them.

But check some more bench videos around......There are some featuring lifters who wear straps and/or gloves to do the lifts.

It's not me though but there are some.

  • @13andincrediblycut I'm sure there are idiots who do stupid, useless things and post videos of themselves doing those stupid, useless things, but we needn't concern ourselves with them. There's no good reason to use a strap for bench pressing. Deadlifts and Kroc rows, sure. But definitely not for bench pressing.

  • @jaidaphire Well one guy said he used them because he got a better grip on the bench.

  • @13andincrediblycut Straps keep a bar from slipping if you're PULLING it. Won't really help if you're pushing it. Point is that it's so unusual it's almost unheard of. And only noobs at Bally's use gloves. Gloves actually interfere with your grip.

  • @jaidaphire It can still help you with grip the same way some people do curls and extensions with straps and/or gloves as well.

Same reason; just most people don't prefer it. :)

  • @13andincrediblycut Straps help when pulling, e.g., dealifts, rows, pull ups. They don't help with pushing movements. And gloves actually hinder your grip. No serious weightlifter uses gloves. (Gloves are mostly worn by yuppies who don't want calluses on their hands.)

  • @jaidaphire Well then the guy must have been a yuppie then.

  • @13andincrediblycut It would appear so. Did he pumice and moisturize his dainty mitts?

  • @jaidaphire No, he said that the straps made him feel more secure in his bench.

  • @13andincrediblycut Whatever gets him through the night, I guess.

  • @jaidaphire Look at WildTurkey's videos. He uses gloves in bench presses and such.

  • @13andincrediblycut He must moonlight as a hand model.

  • @jaidaphire LOL

  • @jaidaphire some people, like myself, suffer from tendonitis in their forearms.... gloves can be used to relieve a bit of the strain on the tendons. and you can't build up tendons dumbass (being crippled because you do something stupid doesn't make you "tough")

  • @materx90 Actually, you CAN build up tedons, dumbass. It just takes longer than building up muscle. I'm sorry you're defective, but that's still no reason to get your panties in a bunch. I understand it's that time of the month for you, so I'll let it pass this once. Now go back to moisturizing your soft little hands and don't bother the menfolk anymore.

  • Lazy ass dog

  • Crazy man.. lmaoo

Did you know he created push-ups?

    Wow.. impressive
