  • wasn't invented in the US Southern states in the 80s, this dish in fact dates back to medieval england.

  • According to National Geographic, the origin was traced back to Maurice, Louisiana. The other dish you're referring to, Rôti Sans Pareil (Roast without equal), is attributed to a French feast in the 19th century and is a bit more complicated than a turducken.
