The point I'm making is that you are trying to disprove one person's assumptions with your own. Unless you have any factual information to back up your assumptions you are no better (or more correct) than the people who's assumptions contradict your own.
You say "We don't know, we assume", but then follow with "I seriously doubt that it visits us, knows about us, or even looks like us". That is a pretty big assumption you are making, so what makes it more believable than the opposite?

yeah,,most mars beings run laying on theyre sides and are only 6" tall.these cameras are small so everything seems far away but in fact thats only about 75 yards away and flat ground somewhat.not a cliff wall behind it.i did see life today though.i opened my door and behold i saw the dude next taking a pise in his backyard!intelligent life?not sure but life all the same.
