The book "Queen of the Damned" was written by Anne Rice - a woman. I really felt something sexual in that novel, perhaps even homosexual, but not graphically like on some porn web sites or movies. It was more sensual. Kissing. The author is a female, that's why it is sensual, not pornographic.

SO not even mostly teacher-pupil, though that too but the main point Anne had in them was their PURE father-son relationship and the depth of it, how Lestat needed the loving father and Marius was that to him. God, WHY are so many people not respecting it, like at all? It's a vital part of the Chronicles!

That was what I was trying to say. In the books Lestat always saw Marius as the teacher Magnus never was.

Yes, I noticed that, but also how you (and many others) completely ignore(d) the main thing the pair is - the father and son. Teacher/pupil is part of it, a significant part as Lestta yearns to learn everything there is to learn but the more important and vital element of the relationship is the father-son thing. If it wasn't she wouldn't have written lestat's mortal father and their relationship so horrici and put so much weight on the parent/child thing with Marius. ;)

i think some people do understand that but just like the AUness of the Ship, I mean people make Snape/Hermione and Harry/Hermione videos....and that isnt in the books at all:P Its basically just a bit of fun. I understand what you mean though ^.^ tis true people dont understand...!

And they don't respect. AU is fine and fun ONLY when it doesn't get clearly and purely offensive like the Lestat&Marius gay thing gets. As they originally are not only a pure father-son thing but extremely in-depthly psychological that of. Anne Rice created them so and obviously put infinitely of thought and heart into that creation. And what makes the gay thing even more offensive is that even though M & L aren't biologically father&son they're spiritually it so strongly they might as well be.
