no, thats not the story. Workman's field has the light towers that act as a buoy (guide)for incoming flights to either LAX or John Wayne Airport. Had they not had that the FAA wouldnt be all over them for wanting to take it out to build a stadium of their own on the spot. I graduated from WMHS, and I'm now an architect trying to work out a deal with the FAA to propose a design where those bouys can be a part of WMHS's new home stadium by relocating it on the top of the stadium itself.
