Im really scared of like hacullinations, im scared to see my true self, Like u say ur gonna need to face ur true demons, i dont think im happy with who i am should i go thrugh with this anyway???
The isolation chamber sounds like a recreation of being in a mother's womb. Maybe one's subconscious mind starts remembering the experience and this causes the effect.
I need to float!! I have had some experience with complete dissociation. I am very interested in this I am outside of Philly and I have heard the eagles have tanks. I want to find a good place local to me that isn't like a spa I want sensory deprivation.
appreciation=liberation, appreciate the NOW wherever One is and One will receive more to appreciate, soooo happy for you and for your experiences and self discoveries.
If you were to watch video of say space in motion,Would it help you to astral travel? I have done a bit of lsd and mushies in my time and this sounds like a similar experience is possible! My only regret with the drugs was not having tried a more spiritual experience. So what im getting at i guess is using the tank to amplify, accelerate, expand the possibility of a spiritual time space experience with out the use of drugs as im told you can do it that way but its not the correct way to do it!
At around the 5 minute mark you mention how that if you're not completely happy with who you are and what you've become then you're " going to have to face some demons ", nicely put...It just made me think, would you recommend this to someone who's depressed/anxious or could that be a disaster? Only because that was one of the crucial things people always used to say to me about hallucinogens, in that, if you're not happy then it'll be a bad trip. Great video's man very informative!
@drummo86 alot of the "bad" trips feel bad because you deal with issues that actually have meaning to you. Its the "bad" trips that are the most beneficial to you, and cause you to grow out of unhappiness from the experience.
Your nature is absolute peace. You are not the mind. Silence your mind through concentration and meditation, and you will discover the peace of the Spirit that you are, and have always been, worries, fears, desires, restlessness, nervousness drive peace of mind away.
I really wanna go! I live in ventura county so I could drive to venice beach but I don't think any of my friends would want to go- just because most of the people I'm around having reached this level of conscience to understand. Should I go alone? Cause I really want to do it.
@tobtob180 I went with a friend the first time, but lets remember the key word here, Isolation. You don't need anyone there, because once you get there you're alone anyway. Just do it, no excuses, just do it and do it right away. This is like so many of those other experiences that people always say they are going to do and never do. Just go and find out if it's for you. My thoughts anyway. Probably only 10% of the people that tell me they are going actually do.
@lukaslarson haha yeah good point and I defiantly am going to do it 100% I was actually just at venice beach but I didn't really know where it was could you tell me what the place is called you went to? Oh yeah and have you got stoned before you go in there cause thats what I was thinking of doing to make it even a more mind blowin experience. thanks for your insights on it
I have my 1st appointment scheduled for Float Lab in a couple of days. I'm really hoping for the psychedelic and visual effects. What would you recommend that I do with my mind? Should I aspire to have no thoughts?
Also, have you tried reaching these levels without the tank? That would be fucking sweet if you could trip just by meditating in your room or outside.
A+ Video! Finally found a float center near where im at, only a 30 min drive away... going in sunday and I CAN'T WAIT! In high school I used to do alot of meditation/mind/body/spirit stuff... then by the time college was over I had pretty much lost all the hard work I had put into attaining that pure state of consciousness and living in the "now".... and I think the float tank is my way back to that state of mind... anyways, you should definitely keep the vids coming! Thanks again, Tyler :-D
@Jncwarrior Definitely without for your first time. I've never used music, because I have no interest, but try it if you do. He does offer video and sound options.
I would agree that Float Lab has terrific tanks. I live in Florida but used their tanks when in LA. Additionally, I own a tank and will attest that Lukas is right on...the tank was a life changing experience for me as well. We are more than our physical body, and you get to know that other side of yourself while in the tank. The visual and kinesthetic changes you see/feel in the tank --and most importantly, afterwards -- are astounding.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your point of view on this! I totally get what you are talking about from my own psychedelic experiences. Will most def. try this when I get the chance! Think we have like two of these tanks in Norway.
@downwiththevatican Stay in as long as you can. Love your screen name by the way. I hope all those monsters molesting children and those pieces of shit who protect them get everything they deserve.
@lukaslarson Im hooked. This was a definite worthwhile experience! I was in the tank for an hour and a half and was lost within my own imagination. Well said for those grown men in oxford cloth suits...jajaja
@The1234cadillac Very interesting question. I heard the guy who has spent more time in space than anyone else speak a while back and he spoke of how incredible the isolation feels. He was asked by someone if he would get lonely in space, and he responded that, while being lonely, he would prefer to live in space forever even if he never saw another person again. He said that when you are in space looking down on earth things fall into perspective in a way that he feels is otherwise unattainable.
that isn't how it works. you don't feel and think that way just because it feels like you're floating with zero gravity. It shuts off all your sensors, visual, hearing, feel. So then the brain isn't really processing anything. But you're awake so it must process something, that's where the psychedelic comes in. I always thought of it this way, it's a dream that's taking place while you're awake. Because when you sleep, you essentially shut off your sensors
Great video thank you for the info. I found out about this from Joe Rogan videos The whole thing makes alot of sense to me. Ive been working on my own path to truth after a very tragic year. Out of all that I realized I was lost. So along with therapy, meditation, massage, now yoga Im feeling something and this seems a natural next step. Keep the videos coming. Trench
Lukas, thank you so much for sharing your information about your flotation tank experience. I appreciate your heads-up on the demon question subject at 4:53. This is one of my concern regarding the flotation tank's effect on the pineal gland of our brain. I want to experience the flotation tank regardless of what I may face there that's been hunting me for long. I believe based on my information on this subject & other scientific + spiritual senses, that the flotation tank will help me.
Hey Lukas.. Your video really put the floatation tank experience into perspective. Ive just learned about it and I'm going for my first session next week. I know what you mean about wanting to share it with everyone I'm already doing that lol. Thanks bro, all the best!
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on floating. I've been waiting for a place that offers it to open up in my area, and one finally did. I must say, for a guy who looks so intimidating, you seem to be a really nice guy. Very cool.
@codeblue25 Never judge a book by its cover. My appearance and my preference in art do not define me as a person. Thanks for watching. I've got more vids on the way. Be sure to subscribe.
Hi Lukas, just want to echo what other people have already said really, that's a real nice video and thanks for sharing that.
I've not yet tried the flotation experience but I'm already hooked without trying it! After reading some stuff by Eckhart Tolle and seeing some of Benjamin Smythes stuff (check him out on Youtube) I feel this experience is the next one in my evolution.....
The separation of mind as a means to objectivity. What an interesting idea, I've always assumed the premise of having others participate for objectivity to be possible.
@vietprodigy91 I would say that most people I know who smoke weed, smoke before going in there. I would recommend experiencing it with a clear head your first time. After you experience it, try it stoned. It's really up to you, and I don't smoke weed, so I can't speak for the effects of using the chamber high, but I'd try it both ways. Remember that your first session may be less than perfect. It's a new sensation that you will have to adjust and get used to. Enjoy the experience,
Instead of people saying,"im getting a hot tub for my birthday and its just going to be the ultimate relaxer". Now i hope to god in the next 4 to 5 years to hear "yea im getting a Flotation Tank next month man,its time for me to evolve, you?" "yea man i cant wait to get mine next year". I believe there should be a Floating shop everywhere your at.
@clayufcmusicfan I couldn't agree more. More people need to try this and realize just how amazing the effects are. If you do this once or twice a week your life could be so much better and more productive and healthy.
this video inspired me to build the tank. Thank you
