  • "....AND THE WHOORE AAUV BABYLON :puff of smoke: SHALL RIDE FORTH ON A THREEE-HEADED SERPENT, AND THOUGHOUT THE LAND, THERE SHALL BE A GREAAAAT RUBBING OF PARTS....."

    I loled

  • This is still the funniest fucking thing ever filmed.

  • ... about 8 0'clock

  • "And throughout the land, there will be a great RUUUUBBBBBBBBBBBBING of parts!" that line gets me every time.

  • the second prophet reminds me of Ian paisley LOL

  • there shall be in that time , rumours of things going astray lmfaao

  • RED!!!!WIDDABLOODOVLIVINGCREATURES!!!!!!

  • 5 people have lost their friend hammer and don't know where the raffia work where an attachment are.

  • Duh-dum:

    ANDTHEBEZANWILLBEHUGE!

  • But he only put it there the night before, about 8 o'clock

  • the guy about the missing hammer's prophecy came true :O

  • The first prophet reminds me of fundys I've talked to ... yikes!

And that last prophet reminds me of Eckhart Tolle ... huh?

  • yes baby

  • The first nutter became islam.

  • Life of Brian is only fuckin great. :D I love Monty Python. :D

  • I know this guy who looks exactly like Graham Chapman. No joke here a few years ago I was with him and my dad and we went into this pub we had never heard of and everyone took off one of their shoes and held it in the air shouting "it's the messiah!!! it's the messiah!!!!" I'd never laughed so much in my entire life.

  • "and the horn shall be on the head..."

    lol

  • Rofl- I loved this scene

  • Nice review of 2012 GOP presidential hopefuls.

  • and it is written in the book of Cyril

  • @ONDERON101 Cyril Connolly?

  • This scene was too short. That last prophet reading from the Book of Cyril (Was that Palin?) should have had a more prominent role in the film. I'm sure the original idea of Brian would have been a character in this vein but they saw more mileage in Chapman's Brian.

  • Given the non-events of May 21, I thought this video would have had a few more comments...maybe even people looking for Harold.

  • Those religions look cool, i would join of of them :P

  • Politicos

  • Fun Fact: the first prophet (played by Terry Gilliam) was originally to be played by Keith Moon, but he died shortly before filming began

  • @XWiseXGuy That would have been over the top! Poor Keith. That is the only way that part could have been any better...

  • Kinda reminds me of Fox news

  • This and the Biggus Dickus scene are pure comedy genius and it's no coincidence that the magnificent Michael Palin features prominantly in both. All 6 pythons were hugely talented guys but Palin was the master.

  • I don't get the confusion? It all made perfect sense to me...

  • Watching the first one is like reading a Daily Mail article on anything.

  • This pretty much describes the 2012 loonies.

  • Kinda like a Speaker's Corner in London. I love it there

  • why is he classified as a crazy prophet? all of these things have happened to me, at least a hundred time.

  • makes more sense than modern Christianity

  • @tml4873 amen to that..............lol

  • Scripture of these prophets can be found at corky d o t net / scripts/ life underscore brian dot html ... search for "nine"

    Praise them!

  • One of the funniest things TV has ever been blessed with! 'whore of Babylon shall ride forth on a three-headed serpent' haha

  • 0:20 ISLAM 0:20 - 0:33 Christianity 0:55 - New Age

And you are all siners just like you sair there. :D

  • I really want a job like this, but I'm afraid I'd be too much like the last guy. lol

  • its like waching fox news. lol

  • @zenzeire lol I was actually thinking of Glenn Beck.

  • Funniest line in film history: There shall in that time be rumors of things going astray. Umm, and there shall be a great confusion as to where things really are. And nobody will really know where lieth those little things, with a sort of raffia-work base, that has an attachment. At this time, a friend shall lose his friend's hammer, and the young shall not know where lieth the things possessed by their fathers, that their fathers put there only the night before, 'bout eight o'clock.

  • I was just given this link and told that Monty Python had found Mohammed lol

  • that last guy is the best. i love how specific yet vague he is. hes so ambiguous with what the stuff is but he can describe base with attachments and then he knows that they put something there just the night before about 8 o'clock

  • the last guy reminds me of Jesus...

  • first 15 seconds : the religion of terrorists :P

  • Is that first prophet Terry Gilliam? If it is he can be pretty scary when he wants to be.

  • @randomsamno9 Gilliam's part in Python has always been understimated, i think... some of the funniest characters have been played by Gilliam (I'VE RUN OUTTA BEANS!!)

  • They remind me of Chaos cultists

  • Palin's prophet at the end reminds me of a teacher I had at school. Ahh great memories.Oh and by the way does anyone else get distracted by the first prophet's hip girating?. Diturbingly hypnotic.

  • the book of CYRIL lol

  • apparently times have not changed much

  • "There shall in that time be rumours of things going astray. And there shall be a great confusion as to where things really are, and nobody will really know where lieth those little things with the sort of raffia workbase that has an attachment. At this time a friend shall lose his friend's hammer, and the young shall not know where lieth the thing possessed by their fathers that their fathers put there the night before....about 8 o'clock."

Palin should have got an OSCAR for this scene alone.

  • "The BIzan shall be huge and black..etc ."

funniest line in the film. I love the way puffs of dust rise when he gesticulates, and the suggestive flapping of his loin cloth XD

  • Thats because its Terry Gilliam, he always enjoy those sort of roles:D

  • In the next scene, the third prophet says "a man shall strike his donkey and his nephew's donkey"...hilarious. Nonsense religion, the second prophet is muhammed...nine bladed sword my ass!!!

  • forest, I think the 2nd prophet is meant to be Ian Paisley, what with that Northern accent and all:)

  • "A friend... shall lose his friend's hammer!"

  • Michael Palin at the end is spouting the most wonderful piece of incoherent nonsense I have ever heard but because it's Michael Palin it is hilariously funny.

  • @76juno nah i prefer the first one ;)

  • That crazy prophet is Mohammed - Stone me!

  • yay, it is written in the book of Cyril

    genius

Umm, and there shall be a great confusion as to where things really are, and nobody will really know where lieth those little things, with a sort of raffia work base, that has an attachment.

    Classic

  • oops the only American in Python and I didnt understand him lol.

  • Great rubbing of bats LMFAO!

  • rubbing of hearts

    geez, get it right.

  • *rubbing of parts

  • And who are you, so skilled in the ways of science?

  • Rubbing of tarts (pros)

  • sinners

  • NINE-BLADED SWORD! NINE! Not two, or five, or seven, but NINE!

  • "and there'll be a greaaaat rubbing of parts!" and "a friend shall lose his friend's hammer"

I love Terry and Michael in this scene!

  • it is written in the book of Cyril! haha

  • "There shall in that time be rumors of things going astray. Uh and there shall be a great confusion as to where things really are. • I agree. Been looking for this for ages.

  • haha, yea this is great,i always crack up when i hear this. a good mockery of religion

  • @GBEHNCP i like "yes were all different!" "im not"

  • @GBEHNCP sounds like a dad who just keeps misplacing things and is lazy so he asks his kids to find them.

  • @GBEHNCP one of the most random things i ever heard, juts amazing.

  • Terry Gilliam is hilarious in this scene ahahahah

  • Love this scene. Thanks for uploading.
