It must have seemed like a good idea at the time, but when Adam asked them "did you hook up that fence generator to the ark?"...it went beyond a prank and became an issue of "can I trust you guys not to accidentally kill me one day". You can see their hesitation at that moment.

The look of betrayal on Adam's face just after the shock should be familiar to anyone who's taken a prank too far. let alone if u ever worked in a workshop.

The thing is, they didn't have any real current to them, they just vibrate really violently. Brings back old memories. BTW, I always held on longer, but not long at all. 5 seconds at best.

I saw an interview with Adam on fora.tv where he said that the prank was NOT Tory and Kari's idea, it was the idea of one of the show's producers at the time. Adam said that the producer actually tried to get the crew to follow Adam and film him and none of them would do it because they could so how angry he was. Man, 100,000 volts through your heart? They shouldn't play with the electricity. Some of electricity is going trough hes heart and there's like 20% chance to get ventricular fibrillation. It causes permanent brain damage in 5 minutes and death in 30 minutes. You can't get into hospital that fast.

If the electricity is going trough your heart while vulnerable period, theres very high chance to get ventricular fibrillation. They are using 100 volts so that means over 50mA is going trough hes body and thats enough to cause it. And most of electricity is exactly going trough hes heart, becouse heart has very low resistance.
