the building my mom works in flooded more than 3 ft and she had a beauty shop so there was alot of things to replace. my granddaddys car got completely covered in water while going down the road and he almost drowned. luckily a kind man helped him out of the water. he said his throat was hurting from all the water he accidently swallowed
Your video is amazingly well synced to impeccable music - worthy of world wide viewing! Thank you for documenting this terrible tragedy - I've shared it with my FaceBook friends.
Thank you all for the comments on the video.. it is so terrible everywhere in Tennessee.. I seen some footage of Nashville, it is so horrible.. prayers for everyone effected by the floods..
Well made video. I was there in Millington/Frayser @ Memphis Mobile City where my daughter & her family lost everything and then stuck Saturday in Jackson. It was a nightmare! God Bless all that endured!
@1970sarteaga lol but i live in west tennessee in decatur county and we got a staggering 14+ inches of rain and u should of saw beach lakes water way it eroded the ground so bad the had to put a police line around it
We got 16" of rain that day.. I have never before seen that amount of water fall from the sky at that volume/rate.. like standing under a waterfall.. it was surreal..

Im 11 and my house is fully under water and my cousin was stuck on her roof and it was so scary and i thank god every second im alive and my relatives r ok if it werent for everyones STRONG southern hospitality i would be on the streets right now and i just pray for the ppl who died or are just still stuck that they will have the faith. My house is still soaked and my room ive worked on forever and to just watch it wash away breaks my heart
Thankfully all of my family was spared damage. Here in Carroll county we have a lot of damaged roads and businesses and homes. My thoughts and prayers go out to those with loss of life a property. I hope this was once-in-a-lifetime event. Nashville is flooding now and been declared State of Emergency. It breaks my heart to see all the damage. This is our home turf and one never expects things like this to happen.
@ILOVETIANAVARGAS Tornadoes yes, straight line winds yes, but this kind of flooding no. not in my lifetime. Now, closer to the Ms river and Tn rivers yes but I live in between the two and we have never had this much flooding. ever.
Good video and perfect music. I have lived in TN all my life and have NEVER seen flooding to this extent. I lived in east TN from 1978-1994but often came back to west TN to visit my parents but have been back in west TN since 1994. I also work at the ag experiment station on Airways, we got lucky with little water in some of the buildings
Very good job producing this video. Credence Clearwater Revival was very appropriate choice in music. Very sorry for the folks suffering through this. We went through one in 1972. The effects of a flood lasts for months afterward. The cleanup is incredible.
Great job on the video! You should do this for a living. I am so sorry for all of you there! I pray for the children and animals, and then everyone else.
I am 30 years old and I can remember only one other time that this has happened, and that time it rained straight for a week, what makes this so amazing is the amount of rain we have gotten in such a short period of time.. and all the destruction that is has done to the roads and bridges.. I would not be suprised if tennessee will not be declared a natural disaster area.
@jeepbabe226 they considered a state of emerency ( i live in west tennessee decatur county ) and we missed two days of school and they didnt count it because of state of emerency
