The series finale better be a two hour long special -hopefully with a subbed version out asap- where all the stuff is resolved. Like WW2 ending is FINALLY portrayed, Germany = HRE is FINALLY resolved, and America and England's broken relationship from the revolution is FINALLY resolved, and someone FINALLY notices Canada for being there and being Canada.

Then Italy was crying and my eyes watered.

Then HRE pops up from no where but it turns out it was just Germany and I burst into tears dammit! And I don't even know why.... o.o

And if we see the historical data, without HRE, Germany could never have existed. So the possibility is open.

Also in the Valentine's strip, Germany has flashbakcs of Chibitalia. In other words, memories of HRE in person. Want more clues about the fact?

HRE tried to become an actual nation, aspiring to be powerful, but failed and vanished (presumably having died in a war he went to).

It is hinted that he may have some sort of connection to Germany; however, the exact connection between the two has yet to be divulged.

Um...no. Just no. To give you a brief history of the Germanic peoples, there were 3 reichs (rye-chs).

The 1st reich was the Holy Roman Empire, created by Charlemagne. It was the 1st one that actually lasted- for most of our history, we were a band of clans who occaisionally came together to drive out enemies, but mostly just kept to ourselves or went to war with each other.

The 2nd reich was made when Prussia got enough firepower to annex the 39 states around it to make Germany.

The 3rd reich never really realized; Hitler never won WW2. If he had, the empire that he was trying to create would become the 3rd reich.

So, while it is no longer called it and has lost a bit of territory since then, you can almost get away with calling Germany the Second Reich, but is definitely not the HRE.
