  • I like how the guitar harmonies at one point kinda approximate the jazzy saxes in King Crimson's original version. However I notice that even 3 guitarists can't beat what Robert Fripp could do on just one! No shame in that though. I'm just happy that April Wine helped popularize a very cool song from the prog-rock canon.

  • Jerry is a brilliant drummer. He's retired now. I saw them do this around 1980 and a little before that too and also in 2004. At that latter show Jerry still did a great drum solo and came out after to chat and sign my old Mashmakhan LP. What a champ and great musician!

  • i was a soundi engineer at this umi and i spent a very plesent 2 hours going round the local shops for some silver tape for jerrys sticks for his solo so the strobes would catch them we had a very wikd after show booze up all 6 hours of it in the top bar of students union

  • Saw these guys open for Styx back in 80.

    This was incredible live.

You didn't see too many drummers for an opening act launch into a drum solo. (didn't show it in the clip) Jerry Mercer blew everyone away.
