According to the legend, Zhao Zilong is the only general in Liu Bei's stable who had never lost a single battle and hence the title of General Who has Never Lost. He died of old age, demoted from his post by the stupid son of Liu Bei.

The version I saw is a little different, the final narration says something like "The kingdoms were finally united, not under Wei, Wu, or Shu, but under the Jin." It definitely isn't just a dub version either as I am positive he actually says the line in Chinese.

She wanted to capture him alive. So I think he slayed hundret of soldiers and she accept, that she cant do it by as she and her army is now. She "retreat" with the army and leave Zhao Zilong be. He have lost. Lost his army, lost his land, but not his life and pride. He maybe went somewhere and lived as old erimit and die on old age. Thats how I want to be.

But well, riding alone against a whole army is badass enough.

to all Zhao Zilong fans... the directors of the movie did not showcase zilong fighting his last battle against cao ying. do not be stupid and run off crying that zilong has been killed. since the directors did not want to show the ending, WE shall imagine it. My version would be that Zilong whooped their asses, killed 100,000 warriors on horseback, finished the rest off sword-style, captured the bitch and beheaded her, then vanished off into retirement with his long lost girlfriend. The End

I think that this movie was really well-done! I think some of the actors from Red Cliff might have done better in this. Their themes were totally different. I liked the plot and substance of this movie better, but I think some of the actors from Red Cliff could have come in here.

That's impossible! If you've looked over the Chinese geographical map, you'll see that the Wu military would have never reached those plains. It's just impossible for them. They'd have to go through Fan castle in Jing province, then try and find a way around some of the mountains to get there. We're talking a span of thousands of miles, and with thousands upon thousands of soldiers? They'd never get there in time either!

All in all, it was a beautiful ending. I just wish there was less drama on the Wei side (Who could honestly think of Wei as the sentimental people? Honestly) and more on the Shu side, which was done perfectly.

I'm really liking this Andy Lau. No offense to you Jet Li and Jackie Chan fans, but I'm getting tired of them. Lau is where its at now. :P

Well, Zhao Yun (zilong) was one of the last surviving hero of the Shu kingdom and fought the Wei army until his own end. You can also see that he reminds himself of the last time he saw Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. Those 3 along with Jiang Wei and Huang Zhong were the 5 tigers generals, the most valorous warriors under Liu Bei if not in all China in this era.
