  • It did that the other day too. It was a very humid day and it rained for 3 days straight before. My problem was that the ignition wires were humid and the car couldn't start. It stalled a few times before too.

  • xD 5*

  • My volvo used to do that, there is a fuel pressure regulator thing underneath the car between the tank and the engine. It looks like a pop can. There is a screw on the end, usually brass, and it tends to start leaking. The fuel system runs at 32psi, and this keeps the system pressurized. If it starts leaking, it will take a minute for the system to build back up to 32psi. I put a brass and rubber washer on it, and i haven't had that problem since.

  • Why french engines suck so bad . This engine is one big problem

  • sjekk membran kakningen som er i forgaseren hilsen volvo mekanicer

  • I wonder the the flywheel sensor is going bad. A very common problem on the Volvos

  • This engine is heat sensitive and dosen`t like running too hot so i think it dosen`t like warm weather eigher . The b23 really really hates warm weather . I love that cranking noise

  • You're right. My Mom's '89 740 Turbo didn't like our hot southern summers. It sometimes had a difficult time cranking, but never quite this bad in over 200k miles. It was a very good car.

  • Dynamo? Check fuel pressure, spark, etc. See what you are missing when the car won't start.

  • dynamo cable checked?
