@dylanbear2012 ahh yes bold eagle, thats a awesome place to go to but you must be at least 16 years old and you have to be past grade ten, so keep your grades up and you can go there in 4 years, also you will be paid i think at least 1500$.
@dlosher No. To join the Canadian Forces you must be at least 17 years old. However, if you are 16, you are eligible to join the Reserves with parents' permission. For more information on eligibility, visit:
IM 10 YEARS OLD WHEN IM GROW UP I WANNA BE A CANADIAN FORCES I DONT KNOW IF I CAN TRY IT :( CUZ THEYR HAVE LOTS OF STUFF TO DO IT AND U CLIMEB EVERYWHERE JUGING PUSH UP I DONT KNOW IF I CAN RY IT :(
@optimus71800 when you rurn 12 you can go for the cadet program and it gets you into the mind set and it can help you get a better understanding of the forces.
@optimus71800 you'll know if you really want to go into the forces as your going through high school, until then your mind will change about what you want to do in life.
@DARRENx79 You must meet the minimum educational requirement for your occupation of choice. Have a minimum grade 10 or Secondary III (Quebec) education for combat arms occupations up to a university degree for Direct Entry officer plan.
@21Assasin If you are in the Canadian Forces you should talk to your Chain of Command. If you are not in the CF, talk to your local recruiting centre for more information.
Does anyone know how long is the min contract? I lack discipline, structure and so on in life. I am interested in joining the force but not for too long. Maybe from 3-5 years. If anyone knows anything about contracts, please let me know. Thanx
man i going to join this guy airplane and i hope him for the best sadly im 13 but i had the expirence from the lack of history my history of war and i will join this person good luck and the last words that you need to remember is be true to your country and honesty
Is basic training fun? This makes it look like a blast, a challenge, and a good way to meet some good friends. Except i've been taught to fear it. It really doesn't look like something to fear though.
It will make you cry, but the amount of fun and excitement you will experience is just wonderful. It's really up to the you. Basic will be a memory you wont forget.
It is what you make of it... If you go in with the attitude that everything is going to suck, it will. If you go in and make the most of the challenges, work your butt off to be the best you can be, and embrace what they're giving to you, it will be the best 13 weeks (I think it's 13 for recruits now) of your life to date.
It doesn't get to -30C in St. Jean/Farnham, and plus the kit they provide you with is more than enough to keep you warm and toasty... the kit they provide you with is the same stuff they use up in CFS Alert where it's like -60
i want to be a helicopter pilot for the forces so will they still assign me to do all this or will i be doing air force stuff please contact me if you no
The BMQ is given in St-Jean, Quebec, so Instructors who live near speak mostly french. Why moving instructors from other province if they can find good ones, near by? Anyway, most of them speak both english and french.
i just finished all my testing, and my papers were sent to my unit today, hoping to hear from them this weekend, because i heard they need people for the upcoming course
My school did it for one year as a pilot program out here in Sask. It was to expensive for the unit so they stopped doing it but I know there's other places that do it.

BMQ is the common phase for all branches. 13 weeks.
