Curious. I would like to see what your degree is in. WE test low because the entire system is ran by unions and people who have no motivation to succeed. They know they can't get fired. The teachers who give a damn are told exactly what to teach. There is no discilpline in schools. Kids walk all over the teachers. Failed state.

Personal responsibility is one thing. Another thing is having the cards stacked against you and being led to believe from adolescence that they're in your favor. It's the whole "what do you want to be when you grow up", "american dream" narrative that's recited to us over and over and over again, year after year after year. As so many have said already, the dream can quickly turn into a nightmare. Demand honesty and responsibility from both sides. The discussion goes nowhere fast if we don't.

Yes basket weaving is not anything at all, but lets say, automotive. Thats something one would need to go to school for or have family or friends hire them as helpers to see how they learn through hands on and combined classes. Still, these people have trouble finding employment simply because there aren't many openings out there. Wake up!
