well no, i needed internet sevice for my business anyway. so it was a steal that i've saved $400 on the Nokia netbook. secondly, one would likely take it on the road n I don't see why anyone would purchase a netbook and wouldn't have internet access.unlike japan, free wi-fi hot spots r very limited in the US.

Well in the UK, we have data plans with half the usage that you get free laptops with, those work out the same price as buying the laptop on its own. People fall for it and end up with massive 2 year contracts for half the data usage. All coffe shops, restaurants and some towns and parts of cities have free wifi here. speeds range from 2 to 20meg.

US already has 4G wireless broadband from Sprint but it is not yet prevalent. this netbook has a built in 3G broadband band unit but that doesnt mean you can't use or connect a 4G device

I really like the look and battery life of the Nokia Booklet 3G, however the price and the limited amount of RAM (only 1GB), really put me off.

I think only 1GB is very wrong. Windows will want it's fair share and then Ovi Suite wants a lot of RAM too and a tabbed browser, and you're out of RAM for sure and have to rely on the swapfile, which will slow down things a LOT! And that's not mentioning Ovi Music which easily use more than half a gig after running for a while. Give us a 2GB model!

It's not that easy. The RAM is soldered onto the motherboard and is not easy to replace.

The benefit of this is that soldered on RAM is much more energy efficient which gives better battery times. The downside, of course, is that you can't upgrade the RAM.

So not really "voila!"

I think I read somewhere online that Nokia is selling these machines more towards the niche market that is people who desire quality over quantity. I personally would be curious to see if this machine can actually go for 12 hours straight before recharging. Maybe 10 hours would be very nice. I would consider getting it if this proves to be true. It'll come with Windows 7 rather than Vista which is great. And the casing is made of aluminum rather than plastic.

So it's an x86 netbook. Why didn't they just make an ARM netbook? They aren't as exotic as they sound and they could have used Symbian!(Or Maemo, or even Android)

That's the only frustrating part. They had so many options with their usual ARM type gadgets.

mmmm dependerá del procesador y de muchas cosas más,

si puees observar las Macbook e aluminio y las Macbook Pro vienen en un aluminio delgado que la protege de raspones y al mismo tiempo le da un diseño increible.

Pero realmente creo que simplemente es mejor que el plástico, en lo personal el tener un portatil de aluminio hace que no se caliente tan rápido como los de plástico.

Espero que haga sentido.
