  • NOT A GREAT FAVOUR!!!

How about the fact that its getting the calcium in via having foods rich in magnesium. Cows milk is for the cow!!!! This is not natural to consume cows milk. Cacium carbonate is not a good absorbale source that is in soya milk (soya can been link to thyroid throubles/cancer). Vegetables provide a lot of calcium and thats the way

  • I agree cow milk is for cows not people

    Go vegan =]

  • No, soy is healthy...

Eating soy products can reduce breast cancer in women

  • . . .and seaweeds!

  • Liz you make some good points. I also believe that the problem with kids these days is the amount of softdrink and sugar they are consuming, this sugar that enters the bloodstream leeches calcium out of their bones.

  • Thank you, Im 18 and decided to keep an eye for my calsium and vitamin D intake, luckily I've always eaten these food. :)

  • don't forget about vitamin d for those of us in northern latitudes. for example, almost all new yorkers should be supplementing with vitamin d since the necessary UV wavelength to prompt internal production of vitamin d is so scarce, because of the latitude, and also the fact that we live in the shadow of buildings most of the day... and as you know, calcium is useless without vitamin d.

  • You make an excellent point. There are also a variety of foods folks can turn to for vitamin D including vitamin D-fortified milk, soy milk, and ready-to-eat cereals, as well as salmon, canned tuna, mushrooms, and eggs. Cod liver oil is an excellent choice but certainly not something most of us eat every day!

  • seaweeds

  • This is excellent thank you for sharing. Zeno
