This Anime is not good, its great. I watched the Dubbed and Subbed. Frankly I think the Dubbed has a bit more character to it. even though Skuld voiced by the American voicer, tend to yell way too much. Urd's American voice was really really good. Even when she rolls about 12 different languages of saying I love you....NICE

Overall this particular anime is verry good dub. even the ova is dubed well especially considering how old it is. if you wanna see bad dubbing look at macross. or moonphase and youll understand.

personally, from pure impartial observaton. The factor that defines the potential for a good dub is how universal it can be. e.g. the less japanese puns or references to specific cultural themes, the more likely dubbing will work well or even better than the original (references death note, darker than black, black lagoon, fma, etc)

@Doribi117 That's ignorant in which a dub is technically the dub for the japanese. Unless you fluently speak it, you cant be certain that to them it sounds as ridiculous as when we hear it in english. The only good reason to like sub's over dubs is the feeling that the japanese VA's put into their work.

I've watched both, and I personally think the dub version is better. Eileen Stevens as Belldandy fits her to a T: VERY sweet and charming, but not so saccarine you can't stand it. Vibe Jones as Urd is AWESOME, plain and simple; she can arrange a multitude of emotions quite well. Annice Moriarty as Skuld? Well... they exaggerated her character too much in the anime (she's a little more passive in the manga), so you basically WANT her to be annoying.

@draconicon2 Not everyone thinks subbed anime is better than dubbed. I've heard say that the only reason people think Japanese voices are better is because they don't even understand the language. If you knew Japanese you'd probably find it just as atrocious as most find English voice actors. Personally I always watch dubbed anime because Japanese voices are somewhat annoying and over emotional and I hate reading the words at the bottom of the screen and missing things.

Considering that I usually read subtitles in either english or japanese, due to lack of hearing, that doesn't bother me. More to the point, I just figure that, since it was made in Japan, written in japanese, I prefer not to lose anything in multiple translations.

The only time you would ever know is if they said something that didn't fit with the rest of the conversation in the anime. I really don't mind missing a few lines of dialog at all when watching anime. =/

In Episode 24 of Season 1, Bell kisses K1 on the cheek as soon as the credits roll. In the manga, they kiss on the lips in the first chapter of the second volume. To give you an idea of the time frame, the first volume ends with the two of them finding Megumi an apartment.
