Also, I just finished reading a GREAT book, a novel on the subject of horse slaughter during the 1930s (historical fiction). The title is 'The Last Good Horse' by David Martin Anderson. it reminds me of my wonderful little pony spike 6 breedswe bought him and they saidnothing was wrong with him and he was 23 but he had nevicualer and was old may 1st 2007 a little bird flew from the high grass he reared with me on him and started galloping and bucking when i was only eight i did not get back on him and i dident ride him for a year 2008 dec. 18th dinner time i asked how is spike doing she said we had to put him down i ran into my room crying for along time I MISS HIM!!!!!!!!

I had a horse, a 3 year old, we bought her and didn't get a vet check on her... she broke her neck and died about 2-3 weeks after we purchased her.
