this ad used to run in the eighties over and over, in the netherlands, in this american version. On German TV there was no singing, just at the end 'augenblick mal, zeit für coca cola". no other commercial had such an impact. marvelous to see it once more.

Pablo had trials for a number of football clubs, but he was never able to pass the ball. He did go on to join a circus to perform his talent, but was a very demanding employee demanding high wages, so much so that the owner of the circus had a monkey trained to do the act leaving poor Pablo without a contract. He turned to drink and drugs for a time, but managed to kick them and got a job as a groundsman for a local football club where he was killed in a freak lawnmower accident in 1996.
