  • The way i interpret from purely philosophical pointof view. What on earth is happeing to us? why the world is so divided .Is there no end to our struggle for survival? Why the nations which made india and califronia desert fill wiht water and flurish like major agricultural exporters ,why no one care to end the food famine and end to misery? if the god we worship lost his or her hearind and cannot her our cry for help? But we are proud people who stand tall and we are happy as we are.

  • I have not come to this for a long time,i dont know why i fund it very moving .God bless,

  • This mezmure remind me of how i grew up and where i came from!!!!

  • God bless you, all! nice song!

  • It reminds me of the people in vanni's suffering and tribal people of disaperaing rainforests in amazon and PNG

  • One touch from the holy spirit and you shall feel the peace.

  • Continuation of mehraman 2008(Part 2)

from Rocks we have drunk water

the bronze snake has cured us

    when nations rise against us

when did He give us unto death

israel has filled himself with Glory

the seven clouds have shielded him

since we are free, our sentence reversed

    who would defeat Him,Our Lord?

  • @mehraman2008 Thank you with much love and respect to you!

  • @mehraman2008 what are you talking about sir? stopp being primitive. think logically, when you say god made us, at the same time why cant you just think, what made god himself?, because this is a natural question to ask, what is the origin of this universe, and so on.

  • @saleall what is impossible for humans, are possible for god

you think your scientific thought can make you survive enough? look everything around you! human logic just leads them to limitless questions with no final answer.... and that's the curse of the "fruit" that adam and eve ate. i hope God will touch your heart...

  • continuing for abmarmik2112

    .....

when we were passing the great Red Sea

    lots of things depressed us

    but everything was resolved

for Our God was leading us

  • Hi isavakoya. The language of the song is Amharic, one of the many languages in Ethiopia, where I am from. I have tried to translate it...am not gonna claim it to be perfect as it is not...but it should give u an idea....

  • Can anyone please translate these beautiful words????

  • Leaving the cities of Egypt

Roaming in the desert in big numbers

Our shoes and clothing did not wear out

He, the Holy Savior, leading us all from in front

When we crossed the great Red Sea

    We faced many problems

But all our troubles vanished away

With God our Creator leading us from in front

  • Aunque no entiendo ni una palabra, siento una gran paz al oir este canto. Viva Jesucristo por siempre!!!.

  • God bless Orthodox!

    Христос воскресе!

  • keep gloryfying the most high God.u re really favoured.dats why i heard u. dis is Owesome!!!

  • THE LAND OF THE GODS!!!!

  • Thank you

please know that Christ was born in Ethiopia.

  • what ?! please men think twice before you speak. the bible state clearly that he was born in Jerusalem.

  • man

you are reading from a corrupted record of the Bible in that case

Remember Chirst is from the house of David

    therefore an Ethiopian

Just as Adam was born in Ethiopia so too was Christ

  • men

are you Ethiopian Orthodox? how did you get this nonsense? Jesus was born in Israel. don't just write what you though. please ask any Ethiopian Orthodox follower

and read the correct bible like me.

  • kkkkkk so you are basically telling us shemaglay cannot be a pastor! Miskinoch lol

  • The Bible clearly says that the Messiah will be born in Bethleem of Ephrata in Israel it's a prophecy of the old testament fulfilled by Jesus-Christ.

  • Kristos Tenestwal!

    Christ is Risen!

  • Again? This is Ethiopian orthodox, yet i'm seeing praises and singing to a white god figure? Where and when does it end?

  • Peace! The white figures of god became big during the european enlightment and seriously affected the mines of artist with racism. The Facist Italians of Mussolini When they violated and invaded sacred land influenced the cacausian idolotry in Ethiopia.

  • Beautiful. Long live the Ethiopian orthodox Church and all Orthodox Churches around the world!

  • she is amazing. Thank you for your voice, song, your spirit.

  • what a voice you two stop duking in nunsense

  • Strange to read all these male headtrip comments with such divinely inspirational feminine music playing in the background. Thanks for these wonderful heart sounds.

  • To my brothers and sisters in Christ of Ethiopian Orthodox Church, may God bless you for your inspiring songs of your Church.

    Absolutely beautiful!

  • where can i purchase this on cd this is so glorius and beutiful God Bless

  • 5Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit. 7You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You[c] must be born again.' 8The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

    John3:5-8 Bible

  • GOD bless you loved it butiful

  • I hope you Ethiopian Orthodox will hold fast to the traditions you have received, which come down from the apostles. I have viewed other Ethiopian Christian videos and they are very loose with the women uncovered and much carnal movements. But you Orthodox have the beauty of holiness and order.

    A brother in Christ

    (Ukrainian Orthodox)

  • so what you were is women being uncovered, apostle paul??

  • I do not understand your question. The Apostle Paul commands women to cover their heads. It is uncomely for women to pray uncovered. But the Ethiopian Orthodox women in these songs are comely with their heads cov ered.

  • but if you keep reading that verse Paul says "judge for yourselves"

so its fine for women to cover their heads but some women don't such as numerous of Pentecostals thats also fine too

    God Bless

  • It would not make sense for the apostle to say a woman ought to cover her head because of the angels, then turn around and say, but just do what you want, it doesn't really matter. It is only in the past 150 years that Christian women have started uncovering their heads in public and in church. This goes hand in hand with the deterioration of traditional moral values. Thank God there are still some churches which hold fast to the Bible's teaching on this subject.

  • ok then tell me why in the Orthodox church the preist have on hats when that same chapter is says.."A man dishonors his head if he covers his head while praying or prophesying."

    1 Corinthians 11:4

A man dishonors his head if he covers his head while praying or prophesying.

  • The vestments of the clergy are symbolic. The head pieces are put on at various times of the liturgy and removed at other times. This exception has nothing to do with the general law laid down by the apostle.

  • you are actually contradicting yourself because in your words if the bible says to do it and not to do it it should't be done...

  • No, indeed. You are just trying to justify your own disobedience. Mitres (Greek mitra) are mentioned in the New Testament in 2 Timothy 4:8, 1 Peter 5:4, James 1:12, Revelvation 2:10, 1 Corinthians 11:4, Eusebius, in his Historia Ecclesiastica (III, 31), atates that the Apostle John wore the mitre: "Again there is John, who leant back on the Lord's breast, and who became a priest wearing the miter." Likewise, according to Epiphanius and Hegesippus, James also wore the mitre.

  • So why is it that the preist are the only ones wearing them and not the rest of the congregation who loves Him?

    James 1:12

Blessed is THE MAN who preserves...receice the crown of Life that God has promised to THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.

But i didnt know it was right to "disobey" one verse only to "symbolize" another...

    1 Corinthians 11:4

A man dishonors his head if he covers his head while praying or prophesying.

  • The priest symbolizes Christ. In the OT the priests had priveliges beyond that of the congregation. So it is under the NT. Why does this seem strange to you?

  • You when it subject comes about priest..many individuals make it seem as if they are the holy one. I go to a protestant church and the only high we have is Jesus Christ himself..who is the high priest

    Hebrews 7:28

For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

this seem very strange to me because everything seems so "religion" and tradition instead of relationship with God...

  • So you have no minister in your church? No pastor, but Jesus only? No "reverend" who makes decisions? Priests are specially consecrated to God for the service they render to the people. This does not make them superior persons, but they are honored because of the office they hold.

  • Okay that i already knew and yes we have a pastor but one thing i never understood was why other people who kiss the priest hand when he walked by as if he was Jesus Christ himself and bowing down to mary and angels is what i don't understand as well and i would love for you to explain that to me with bible verses to back it up

    God Bless

  • I Thess. 5:12-13 says to esteem church leaders "very highly in love for their work's sake." Solomon bowed down to his mother as a sign of deep respect (I Kings 2:19). Abram bowed down before the angels (Genesis 18:2).

  • Another thought for you to consider, dear sister, is that for you, the veil represents your authority in Christ ("power on your head" "because of the angels") and so clad you are respected by angels and demons alike. Why then would you want to be like a man?

  • ummm this is maybe kind of embarrassing but in definitaly not a "sister"..more like a brother lol but its ok

  • My mistake!

  • He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.

    Mark 16:16 NIV

  • 9That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
