@hiddenThecakeisalie yup. It kinda goes over your head if you don't pay attention, but ocarina of time had two endings. the future timeline, when the world was destroyed by ganon. The gods flooded the world to rid it of his evil (wind waker). BUT- link also went back in time, inbetween ocarina's ending and majora's mask he and zelda captured ganon, and sealed him in the twilight realm (The scene in twilight princess where he's hooked up to the mirror and manages to kill one of the sages)

@hiddenThecakeisalie Because as you remember, ganon destroys the world in the 7? years your sealed away, Link and Zelda prevented it from happening in the first place, thus causing a timeline split and the two different series of Link's we see today. Skyward sword goes WAY the hell back in time all the way back to the forging of the mastersword, hence why the art style for it both resembles windwaker and the serious style of twilight princess.

No one else had this version. It's always the ending version, not the begging version. In the beggining version, Maker and Fado play in unision. In the later version, Maker plays the melody, whereas Fado plays some sort of accompanament.

I think there origin is probably from the kokiri. Based on the fact that it seems none of them were ever able to leave the forest, I think perhaps during the events of hyrule being flooded they changed into the creatures you see there.

There is a deku tree sprout that grows infront of the old dead deku tree and he explains to link that the kokiri always look like children and that they never age. And he says to link that he is not a kokiri at all and that his mother who was trying to flee from being attacked took him to the deku tree and link was raised as a kokiri but the reason he aged and not them had to do with the fact that link is a hylian.

I never actually noticed that. I mostly just call it Hylian since that is what the great deku tree says in ocarina of time.

I am sure it means the same thing just they said it differently in the later game probably because it sounds better.

Add to that the fact that they both seem very childlike, never age, and are green, and you've got all the reasons Zelda.wiki certifies that the Koroks are the descendants of the Kokiri.

The great Deku tree specifically says that they used to take on human forms in a time long past, back in the forest (one would assume Kokiri Forest since he's the great Deku tree) and we can assume he is since he recognizes the "green garb" that your character wears. So they were definitely the Kokiri but when the floor happened, they took on new forms.

Makar and Medli had to give up their entire lives to fulfill their duties as the Earth and Wind sages. Medli had a hard time leaving Komali, and Makar had to leave the Koroks. That's a sacrifice. Although in the end of the game they were on the Pirate Ship, they still are the sages and have duties.
