The Canadian government will not sign off on that span. The Canadians want the DRIC which is to be set in Delray. Southwest Detroit also wants the DRIC projext as it would be a public private partnership. It's obvious Matty Maroun is strongly against such a project and now has been lobbying like a mad man in Lansing 'buying' votes, one could say, to kill the house bill to require such projects to have a CBA with the direct impact community. Basically, Matty can kick rocks! He is a lame!
On a trip to Windsor in the summer of 2008 I saw that Matty Maroun had purchased the whole city block adjoining the bridge, condemned all the homes and like you said had built his approach just like he has on the Detroit side of the river. The expression "putting the cart in front of the horse comes to mind." I hope the Canadian government isn't bought off like the politicians have been here on the U.S. side of the border.

I agree that the bridge should be in Delray crossing into Canada near the Windsor Raceway. Matty can take his ball and go home !
