I purchased my iRoast2 at iroast com au The roaster is great, the price was right and they shipped using deliveryguys com au so it arrived safely and on time. I really am enjoying roasting my own beans.
I-Roast 2 roasters are back in stock at Berman Coffee in Madison WI. They have the best price too. Probably the last time the roaster will ever be available. I'm told that the previous shipment from the overseas supplier failed QC and was rejected by Hearthware, the U.S. distributor. The current shipment was accepted. Get it while you can.

I want to buy one of these I-Roast-2's but it seems they are never available from the manufacture... I'm tired of using my popcorn popper and all the stirring required because it is sooo hot. And the popcorn popper only roast about half as much as the I-Roast 2.
@markpianoman Check Marlton Coffee. They're backordered until August, but by far the cheapest price, especially considering it comes with 4lbs of free green coffee.
@jmatthews13 thanks for the response, but marlton coffee company doesn't have them currently in stock either... really a problem with the manufacturer i think. they are not meeting the demand with supply.
@jmatthews13 I spoke directly with the manufacturer of the I-Roast 2 yesterday who indicated that more would be available toward the end of the year -- they are going to email me when they have more.
@shlomolahav Do you have an I-Roast? A LOT depends on your house's power, unfortunately, so any curve recommendations I give you will have to be tested before committing to them long term.
The average price for a pound of green beans from Sweet Maria's (dot com) is around $5.50. You can find cheaper beans elsewhere, but the time and effort Tom puts into his descriptions at Sweet Maria's is more than worth the extra pennies. Beyond that, $5.50 for a pound of the best coffee you've ever had is more than worth it.
You certainly should. First, you should do like most of us do and start with a simple $15 popcorn popper. Get the 8 pack green coffee sampler from Sweet Maria's ($17), read some tutorials, and roast away! (Or just ask me, and I'll tell you everything you need to know.) Beyond the excellent coffee, it's a really fun thing to do.
It doesn't compare! Once you've had fresh coffee, you will never buy from the store again. I've been roasting my own coffee for about 2 years now, and since then I haven't once purchased retail coffee. Plus when you realize how much money you're saving, it's win-win.
Coffee roasting, especially if you're trying to nail a specific roast degree (I find a true City+ the hardest to reach without overshooting on my two Gene Cafes). . . .
. . . .is just a little tougher than cooking a sandwich.
To make impressive coffee and have your varietal's flavors truly stand out, you have to develop a perfect temperature profile, which requires tons of work.

Hi! How many minutes do you roast? What if you roast the longest time possible? Will it become espresso or more mild?
