Good day sir

I recently bought the Mini DV camera as a security camera. The ad said it is motion activated and came with a disc. It even said in the box to use the drivers on the included disc to make it work with down loading to my computer. No disc, Called and was told that none of them came with the promised software and try to look it up on the internet. I searched all day as it came yesterday, any help offer would be greatly appreciated, they offered full refund i it to work though,

When using it as a "capture device" (with AMCAP software) - it does not record voice.

Also - when using it as a PC CAM (Skype) the microphone is not working.

Is it normal and I need a separate microphone for Skype - or the device is possibly broken?

Thanks for your vedio , i order this mini dv from ebay but it`s came with small cd but there no memory card and i try to put it in my laptop but i don`t know what the problem????!!!!!!!!! , i want ask if this cam work in computer without memory card? and i have to use this small cd or not? @sunnyui12345 No, when I plug it into my PC it shows up as a folder in my computer with the camera active. No software should be needed.

Hello!I just got my mini md80 camera,but when I turn it on,there is a red light on and camera does n t work.I 've tried several types of micro sd cards but does n t work either!Does anybody has the same problem and know how to fix it?

I have windows vista. The webcam is detected as a General Image Devic and can't find any drivers to install. When I check the device status it states; This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1) please help

@gatzzinnyaaareaa Okay sent you the link but they don't work for everyone. If you are having video problems then I suggest that you google and download K-lite codec pack, this will correct video issues.

@vanjaTUONO did it come with a disc? The web cam driver should be on the disc, if it did not come with a disc then follow the link in the description above and download the driver on my blog and see if that helps you out. Let me know...

when i try to use it as a webcam by clicking the mode button when plugged in i get the found new hardware wizard

any advice on where to get drivers from to make it work?

Hi Frank, I just brought one of these and having real problems setting it up to the pc, i've installed all the drivers etc but it's so problematic when connecting to the pc and i've not been able to watch any video in any format. I've follwed the guidelines in the instructions but still no joy.

Can you help please as i'm pulling my hair out.

@Fozzielion Have you installed the K-lite codec pack? This usually solves the issue of not being able to play videos on most system. Search Google for "K-lite" and install the standard package.

I use Windows XP, there weren't a CD that came along with my camcorder. So I don't have the driver, and my system wouldn't recognize the device. Anything i can do?

my mini dv when I connect to the PC (Windows 7) tells me usb not recognized. you can help me?

@maskedcross 1. Make sure memory card is in camera when you plug it in. 2. Make sure battery is charged. 3. Try different usb cable. 4. Use usb in back of computer instead of front usb plug. Hope one of these works for you.

i got it to work for the web cam on skype but how do i get the mic to work for it?

I went into settings for skype and it doesn't show any usb audio devices so I'm pretty sure it's a no go for audio.
