In Mary's book she says how Barbra sang this song flat on purpose...and how when she hears it now all she can do is laugh at it because she remembers Barbra making faces in the studio...That had to be funny...lol
@aapnootduifje It's very much Diane Ross. A very young Diane Ross. And, this is the A side of a single who's B side got radio air play instead. Can you guess the B side of this single? Hint: Diane did not sing the lead on it.
Barbara is so clear on this song, love it when she goes "who who" this is such a beautiful and great song. I just got the new Expanded edition of this album and it is so awesome especially the interview with Barbara Martin, her first one ever! I cannot stop playing this album, I recomment it to any serious Supreme fan, thanks for posting this great track,
Michael's and Smokey's are still the best, but this is good too.

Sing it Diana (Misses Ross. Wilson, Ballard, and Martin to you, thank you!), Mary, Florence, and Barbara. This here is why I LOVE MOTOWN!

@aapnootduifje That IS Diane on lead. This is an early recording before she polished up her voice.
It's Diane on lead. Florence, Mary and (rare 4th member) Barbara Martin on backup.

@aapnootduifje , That is a 17 or 18 year old Diana singing lead indeed.
