This is not a whaling ship. The Kaiko Maru is a dedicated sighting vessel.

It doesn't even give information to the rest of the fleet as the Nisshi Maru and sampling vessels have to follow a predetermined trajectory under a line transect survey.

It's only scientists on board the Kaiko Maru.

Besides, the SSCS activists are aiming for the Japanese vessel's bridge, that is where there are people.

I never said the Kaiko Maru is no associated with the rest of the fleet. It's just that they operate independently. Their mission is a sighting survey on a different trajectory to that of the Nisshin Maru and Yushin Maru 1, 2 and 3.

But sure, it's part of the fleet. It just doesn't harm any whale.

The problem is that the Sea Shepherds feel like attacking every ship that has "Research" painted on its sides. Probably because they don't understand the word.
