Several great quotes by founding fathers that show why the nation they built worked so much better then they expected...
... And a quote of a trivial comment by Washington
..And a out of context comment by Woodrow Wilson - the nations most openly and adamantly racist presidents, hailed by (and who hailed) the birth of a nation book/movie glorifying the birth of the KKK?
@mow1717 If you are trying to (un educatedly) imply that, being fiscally concerned, and wanting to balance the federal budget. 1) Ben Franklin was never a president; bawdy ambassador to France, but never president.
2) Woodrow Wilson never said he was sorry for creating the Federal Reserve. This is Internet revisionism (changing history by mass exposure to falsehood). Check Wikiquotes for this infamous misattribution. The link takes you to a good article on Salon(dot)com.
@mrmomoto Ben Franklin yes was not President. But in his day. His words were wisdom as that of a great president. And highly respected in the USA and abroad.
@mrmomoto I kinda agree! I never heard this quote until now. Still, perhaps it was hidden by the progressives..perhaps. And I studied American History. But still.. It is known that Wilson was a joke as a President. Period!
Of course there has to be one asshole that doesn't like this video. I would like to know who this sorry excuse for a human being is and kick their ass!
I believe General Washington was talking about the multiple other benefits of the Hemp plant, not necessarily smoking cannabis recreation ally although it's a distinct probability he may have done that as well. Woodrow Wilson was a foolish and beguiled man. However, had Aaron Burr's shot not been guided as it were, Hamilton would have ruined this country long ago. We still have a chance to reclaim our country. Vote 2010!

@OnePresidentOfPeace Yes he was, but the term "marijuana" wasn't adopted until much later when outlawing hemp was in favor by the leading fiber producers. Hemp was the superior fiber so the companies did not want the competition. Marijuana and hemp are essentially the same thing but hemp is cultivated for its fibers. There are many ways to grow hemp which will result in different grades of fiber. Hemp has thousands of uses some of which are paper, fuel, clothing, biodegradable plastic and more.
@silversobe LMAO!!!.....typical government, exploting the law for their own advantage. Thats corruption right there. now we all know alot of bullshit we deal with, and alot of ignorant oblivious people are buying it all. Thats how we went down.

Most farmers planted hemp for rope-making and commercial use. BTW marijuana was made illegal int he 30s due to the cotton industry andd the fear of a large influx of latinos (which is a stupid reason). It wasn't made illegal just because it is a drug. The founding fathers may or may not have smoked hemp.
@Southernjuggalo63 True it is not marijuana. But many pro marijuana group tried to group it with marijuana so as to justify the use of marijuana. Which is WHY. The distinction should be made constantly.!! Great industrial product, as long it is not categorized with marijuana!!

@OnePresidentOfPeace further to silversobes reply, another reason why the name "marijuana" was introduced by USA govt was because it has a Mexican "illegal alien" sound to it, so as as it to scare the gullible masses that it's alien and demonise the hemp plant .
Govt even funded shock movies like "REEFER MADNESS!" to scare people from a perfectly healthy, very useful plant from God.
All in the name of mindless greed / exploitation/ keeping people down, sick in the dark and under control
@OnePresidentOfPeace He smoked it too, there was an entry in a journal of one of his and he said that he was upset that he didn't separate the male and female plants sooner and the females had seeds in them.
