I accept i dont have economical university degree but i have computer engineering . But i had both macro and micro economy lessons so i know quite more than an ordinary person about what is going on in greece. Week banking system , unrefundable public debts , low industry production overemployement at tourism caused this

i'm sorry to say but, it happend on June 10, 1944.
hitler died about 11 month's later,(On 30 April, 1945) and so did the war end in the few weeks after it.
this massacre is probably recorded as 1 of the many war crimes by hitler.
and political the damage done by it is payed for by the usa whit the marshall plan.

and so greece wont get paid a 2nd time. i think after this crisis in your country you wont be getting any money for a long long time from other country's.
from now on we can blame greece for taking our money whitout paying back. the same way as you blame germany.
only we will have good arguments why we get money from greece.

they threaten us to give Utrecht. (3rd city at the time) the same treatment the next day. if we didn't surrender.
actual attack was about 20 mins. no time to run or hide.

i think ww2 history was overfocused on the jewish holocaust. for example i wasnt aware that every day during german occupation 700 greeks were dieing every day.

@rurounisld well hitler was pure evil. all those bad things he did to the country's around him to bring them down where just small plans. his big plan was to wipe out all jews. the holocaust realy isn't overated. what happend to them is 10 times worse then what happend to the country's. if hitler wasn't there, there whold have been millions more jews today. being just as big as the Bible and Quran maybe.

@rurounisld but hitler actualy went prety easy on the dutch. because we where neutral in ww1, always had been on good food whit germany because of our mayor export to them. and because we surrendered right after their 1st real attack on NL. (however we did had freedom fighters wich where a pain in the ass for the germans ^^)

@laladieladada i guess lucky u then... imagine that when ww2 was over and greece was destroyed from the german ocupation, the greek civil war began ( uk and russian wanted their own goverments here and both used greeks to fight for them ) i hear some ppl say why we ended up like this but if some1 read greek modern history would be surprised that we still exist..

you say that that the marshall plan only gave a little bit of the real damge.
this is also not true.
there was no max in the marchall plan. if a country asked for money to rebuild something they automaticly gave it. only question that was asked is to show what they wanted to fix whit it. nothing more.
the marchall plan gave those countrys all the money they needed to rebuild their country. the same was for greece.

@panarkas also was the german coin after the war whort compleetly nothing. even if greece whold have had the money from germany instead of usa. then they couldn't rebuild anything. because the german money was simply nothing.only after the marchall plan stoped, germany was able to change his coin to the deutche mark. so they had money again to trade whit other country's. (but that was AFTER the marchallplan) if greece didn't went whit usa.then there wholdn't even been food until 1953 in greece

Protesting is the dumbest thing you could at a time like this. It will only cost even more money for the Greek government, Lost business for locals and Less tourists for Greece as a whole who see this crap continue. Instead of protesting they should find jobs, start their own companies, live within their means...etc..etc. Greece problems are far bigger then any other European nation. Greece government also lied about their budgets to the rest of Europe. How can Europe still trust Greece now?
