  • Another thing, what is about Triton boats - people either love them or hate them, I live in California, and all I ever hear or see is Ranger... everyone thinks the Ranger boat is the top of the line... I have been in many of them, and let me tell you - there not top of the line for me. There very heavy boats and they tend to slap in the water more in my opinion... I know all you Ranger dudes are going to send me nasty messages, just an opinion - Happy Boating.

  • Sorry folks, but I have a 1999 Triton TR-21 with a Evinrude 225 Ficht Engine and the GPS on it was 82 MPH so with a 300HP - not impossible.

Now it was only me, half tank of fuel, and no poles or tackleboxes.... with a loaded rig, I am still getting about 75-78 MPH GPS - sorry to disappointment to whomever doesn't believe, but I do cause its true. Happy fishing

  • sweet...good fishin..

  • love that hot foot. you punched it! haha. sounds soooo sweet tho.

  • Good luck with your rig!

  • As you can tell, I have a ranger, it's an 07 that I bought new, but I would like to consider getting something like that next.

  • nice boat, just picked up an 01 tr-21 this past weekend. hadnt took it out yet but have been in it before. mines only a single console though.

  • How much did ya pay for 'er?

  • @frogdaddy07 I have noticed that my Grandpa's 1999 Triton Tr-21 looks just as good as the new one's same design(apart from the rapid planning system on the newer models) but he bought a new Evenrude E-Tec H.O. 300 for it and damn does that thing run fast. Water flying off the trolling motor always hits me in the passenger seat and water hurts when it hits you and you are traveling at 89.35mph on water.

  • @1999TritonTr21

Do you honestly expect people to believe that your g-daddy's Triton can go 89 mph? Who are you trying to fool?

  • @redneckfromtexas I have been friends with 1999TritonTr21 since we were both 4 years old. We both grew upp at Lake Coleman in Coleman, Texas. His grandads boat will hit that 89mph I was spending the night with him when we ran the boat at that speed. We had a tournament the next day at O.H. Ivie Resivoir the next day. He isn't lying.

  • @TheTexasOutdoorsman

There problem here is that a 300 HO etec does not exist. You may have known him since you were four years old, but your friend's grandpa's boat does go that fast. Only way it could do it is if it had a 370 hp yamaha on the back.
