If you use that sword, the infected blood will get in your eyes or mouth. You didn't even show the most important components of the kit like what kind of food you keep. Very weak kit. You'd be dead within a week.

Because the skull is specifically designed to protect the brain, killing a zombie by bashing it on the head with a blunt object would be harder and take longer than simply slicing it's head clean off. But tbf, my kit would have a good mix :P
May you consider adding quality mask/respirator set up to get infectious material away from orifices with some lightweight full body armor to protect against bites and scratches?

Shotgun definitely does work, I wont argue that. 12Ga ammo is heavy, 7.62X39 is light. As long as I put them where they are supposed to go they will do the trick.
Yes and no, I agree that a shotgun is a more consistant one shot stopper (I don't think many would argue that). But the AK47's 7.62x39 has proven to be very effective. I believe that rounds from an AK placed in the thorax or head will have no problem dropping humans, regardless of their mental state.
The problem with the 12ga is that you are very limited on firepower. Even if you are a ninja at topping off your gun, you are limited because ammo is so bulky and heavy.
for one that is soo not enough ammo :p just saying and for 2 your gunna wish you already had the ammo organized into either extra clips or easy to access cases when the zombies show up :p
Real Zombies are actually mindless slaves. They came up with the idea in the 20's/30's or somethin' to work on farms. Later on in the years someone came up with the ideas of Zombies being mindless killing machines. Now everyone for got the real idea of Zombies. The movie White Zombie made in 1932 is one of a few good depictions of original story of Zombies.
@GadgetsNGear 9mm would do just fine in any event. Just get hollow points. As for zombie's you are shooting for the head so it wont really matter what caliber pistol you have. Really a 22 would be best because it bounces around in the skull instead of blowing through it.

@TheJ0ne To anyone who doubts the effectiveness of a 9mm, I will personally hold a demonstration at my place of residence. Anytime you wish to see this demonstration, just come over unannounced past sunset and be sure to break a window as the door should already be locked and dead bolted. Seriously, the 9mm is 115 - >150 grains moving at 12-1500 feet per second. It moves only 500 feet per second slower than an average 308 and has a similar bullet weight. 9mm will do the job nicely
@TheJ0ne The reason that the 9mm gets sucha bad rap is because it has a small case size. If you compare it to a .38 special, the .38 will look alot bigger, when in reality the case was designed for older non-smokeless powder which took more room in the case for the same umph. The 9mm was developed with smokeless powder (which burns longer and produces higher pressures from smaller amounts of powder) in mind. The avg. 9mm shoots a similar size bullet at roughly the same speed as a 357.
@TheJ0ne Of course, the 357 mag will have more kick because it is a revolver round and doesn't have an action that absords the recoil to eject and feed the next round. Other than that, a 357 and 9mm are pretty even. I'll trust my 9mm with good ammo to do what needs doin.
Nice Mossberg. I've got the M590A1. Pistol and Katan are nice to, I'd rather a Machete, but the Katana is better for a more comfortable distance. Nice collection anyways.

It is hand made of differentially tempered spring steel. I have beat the crap out of this blade and have been very impressed with its fortitude. For under $300 I think it is a great value if you want the kind of edge harness that only DT can bring.
The hamon is kind of faint but it is REAL and that makes all the difference in the world to me!
I pruned a friends pepper tree with it, i was going through live branches over 1 inch in a single swing.
