this kind of launching ships i think is really good, it has supports at the bottom/keel until the ship floats to the seawater, this is to prevent deformation on its bottom plates due to impact/pressure from ships weight to the water. a really good idea... : )

That was undoubtedly the smoothest ship launch I have ever seen...except perhaps the Great Eastern...but that took 6 months to launch..
