Due to insane behaviour of a person whom I've lived with I can no longer have her on my shoulder without her biting my ear or my lip :-( ... we used to be so close, now she is afraid of everything. I curse that person 'til the day she gets what she deserves. Asian women are crazy!

My bird has his own song. And it goes just like that!!! I've had my bird for... it will be three years this June. Tiel. Male. Is it too late to get him a friend? If not should it be a male or female? I might want to mate him but I don't really know yet... Will they bond to each other and not me?  Should I keep them in separate cages or the same cage?

@childsweethearts Yes they're in the same cage....i bought them about 5 months apart so I had time to bond with the first one for a bit. i'd say now that they aren't totally bonded but they're friends. They don't preen each other ..but they yell for each other when they can't see each other..they are kind of bonding..it's been about 3 years since I bought the second guy. but they both still love spending time with me. i think it is best to get your bird a friend.

@sahree My birds have the same kind of bond. I had one male for 6 months before I got two more males. They all hang out to together and yell for each other when they aren't close. But they don't preen each other ever.

@childsweethearts I have two cockatiels and the male still acts the same towards. He always comes to me when I take them out and wants me to pet him like before. Every situation is different obviously, but if you have a bond with your bird he wont just forget about you :P

@childsweethearts and I do keep mine in the same cage but they fight sometimes. Experts always advise to separate them in different cages at first so...that would be wise :P As long as they get to meet each other and interact outside of the cage things will work out fine.

Love it, but now I'm confused. My SweetiePie had his own song and sang alot. Then when I got cuppaCake, he slowly stopped singing. I know both are males, but a breeder told me they would not ever sing, cause there's no female--they have no competition. Ever hear of that?
