My one year old granddaughter has been diagnosed with metopic synostosis. She is scheduled foir surgery, at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, in a week.
I have a friend with craniosynostosis and he has siblings with it too. and he has mild mental retardation, and i have mild mental retardation. I am glad i met him. He is a awesome person.

My daughter had surgery for craniosynostosis 6 1/2 years ago at 3 months old, and will be 7 in September. She is amazing, and seeing Riley brings back a ton of sadness, but I know everything will turn out perfect. Please post an update.
Thanks for sharing your video! our son had cranial vault remodeling (CVR) in September 2006 for cranio; he's looking great though we need to get a loose screw out next month :)! Hope Riley is well.
Thank you for sharing. Our son, Brandon, is having this same surgery on June 1, 2007, just shy of turning 10 months old. We're dreading it, but we know it has to be done, and it's good to know other kids have gone through the procedure successfully.
